Chase had perfectly acceptable manors. Just because he didn't choose to use them around Brent didn't mean anything. Chase smiled when Brent flicked a piece of his hair. Because that was just adorable. He wondered briefly if Brent would ever be able to get over the student teacher thing... not that you know. Chase was thinking about that. Right now it didn't seem like they were student and teacher. It was just like... they were friends. Chase liked it. It made him feel normal.

"By the way. Your voice is amazing. Why did you pick the song you did... Notice my blue eyes?"

Yay, another compliment. Brent mentally facepalmed. He'd just said yay, even if it had only been in his head. It as still a yay. What was he, four? Anyway. Conversation. Focus. "Yup, it is pretty amazing if I may say so myself." he boasted, trying not to snicker but failing. As for Chase's question. Brent didn't mean to answer that exactly how he ended up doing but... he did. So yeah. "No, I was thinking about my dog's eyes. Blatantly." the man scoffed.

Chase found Brent's vanity just kind of adorable. He wasn't sure if he should take it all seriously or not... but he found it cute. That was for sure. And the song was about his dog's eyes? Wow. Chase laughed quietly. "Your dog must be pretty special to you then. If you sand a song just about the dogs eyes when the dog wasn't even around."

It was probably a bad thing that Brent could barely remember what colour Dianne's eyes even were. It was hard to tell since her face was always covered by her own hair but he thought that they were maybe brown, not blue. What a shame. "Oh, she is. Veeery special, that one." he nodded his head a fraction. 'Special' was one word to describe the slow-minded dog of his. But being special was part of what made her special to him. Not as much as Chase was making out, obviously, but it wasn't like either of them were being totally serious at the moment.

Chase laughed again at Brent before deciding he should like... figure out what they were gonna do. Chase yawned loudly and smiled to himself. "Brent. I'm getting tired again. Should we go back to the school... or just go back to bed here.?"[/b] Chase asked the professor, wondering how it would look if they went back to the castle in the morning with the same clothes as yesterday on looking like they slept on the forest floor, because well, they did. Chase wasn't sure that would go over well with anyone, but he didn't exactly feel like he cared. He just really wanted to sleep.

As much as he didn't want to move, Brent knew that the best thing to do right now would be to head back to the school and get some sleep there. Otherwise, God knew what rumours would start if they both arrived back together in the morning in a rumpled state from where they'd slept. That would go down well, wouldn't it?"We should go back." he mumbled unhappily, "Which means you're gonna have to move before I fall asleep again." That was, in fact, very likely to happen.

Chase couldn't deny that he felt a little upset that Brent had chose that option, but figured it was for the best. Plus... they had kind of slept for a long time already. It wasn't like Chase should have expected Brent to chose falling back asleep. Or... he could have, but still. It was better if they went back now. Chase just really didn't want to get off Brent. That was the problem here.

He took a deep sigh before pushing himself off Brent and standing up, He straightened his clothing and then stuck a hand out toward Brent on the ground. He looked adorable there. Not that Chase was noticing or anything.

Already, Brent found himself missing the close proximity between him and Chase that had been there previously. Which was a bit of a problem in his mind, but not one of the highest significance. The tiny, annoying voice in the back of his head was telling him that he was more than capable of getting up by himself but he pushed it away. Mostly because he felt the need to hold Chase's hand.

He took the fae's hand but was wary enough to not rely on Chase's assistance too much to help him up because... he looked kind of fragile, to Brent. "Thanks." he smiled, loosening his grip on his friend's hand now that he was on his feet but not letting go completely.

Chase smiled some when Brent used his hand to get up, but didn't let go. Chase supposed that holding someones hand was actually a bit of a step down from laying on them and sleeping with them, but hey. It was the little things that made Chase smile. He twisted his hand in Brents so their fingers were intertwined. "Uhm. Shall we walk back then?"

[/b] Chase asked with a shy voice. He made no attempt to go forward to the school. He really didn't want to go back to his room and have to lay alone in his bed, even though he knew he would have to.

Brent tried to stop himself from smiling wider than he was already when Chase intertwined their fingers, which was just very cute. Although they shouldn't be holding hands in the first place and Brent shouldn't want to keep holding on. They should really go because Brent was starting to really crave a drink or several. "Mm hm. C'mon." he nodded. Then Brent gently tugged on Chase's hand and lead him out of the forest. Hopefully nobody at school had thought there was anything dodgy about Chase's disappearance. At least he knew that no one would've noticed his own absence. See, that was one of the perks of being friendless; none of the people you knew felt complied to keep tabs on you.
