Fauve is not the tidiest of homemakers. Her one-bedroom efficiency has a partitioned off kitchen and a small bathroom at the back of the apartment. Her bed is a thin mattress directly on the floor with sheets that probably weren't gray originally. Her bed is covered with clothes and magazines and empty beer bottles. A sheet of plywood on top of cinder blocks serves as her coffee table, and that, too, is buried in dirty dishes and empty alcohol containers. The walls and windows are nicotine yellow. The only cleanish area is the corner where Sid's bed and water dish are.
