Chase could get the smile off his face as he pointed up in the sky toward a constellation that sort of resembled a w. "That one is Cassiopeia or otherwise known as the queen."

[/b] Chase told Brent before he found one of his favorites. "But I love Andromeda. Just because of her story. She was fated to death, but saved by her one true love, Perseus."[/b] Chase loved the sky and the stories behind the names. He spent a lot of time reading up on Greek and Roman Mythology. Chase believed in true love because of that story. He didn't use to.

What the fuck? Why was Brent having to listen to this nonsense? He'd tolerate it, but only because this was Chase. Stars weren't people with stories or whatever they were just humongous balls of plasma that looked nice at night. He managed to refrain from saying any of that out loud though. "Wow." Brent took a shot at trying to sound like he was interested but it was a poor attempt and he knew it. He'd tried? That was the main thing here, wasn't it? And he hadn't said anything horrible either.

Chase laughed when Brent said wow. Yeah, okay he was a bit of a nerd when it came to the stars and such. He liked it... and it was often what got him to calm down after he was beat. It was one of those things that he just... liked. But didn't really know why. "When my dad got bad... I would go in the backyard and hide from him. Normally it was at night because he was always drunk when he beat me, and that was the worst at night. But he did it in the day too. Which is why I like the sky as well."

[/b] Chase told Brent as he took his eyes off the stars and looked at the hybrid under him. He shivered slightly, not realizing how cold he was before. He felt good being able to tell someone all of this.

Brent was secretly relieved that Chase laughed at him instead of taking it personally or getting annoyed like most people did when he was rude like that. Brent had grown accustomed to those reactions of the years since he received them so often. It was nice to get a different, more positive one for once.

Without fully realising it, Brent tensed a little when Chase brought up his father and how the monstrosity of a man had beaten him. While drunk. Which gave Brent the impression that Chase wouldn't be too happy to hear about Brent's little drinking problem - he wasn't as bad as a lot of people though, luckily. But, still, maybe he'd make an extra effort to keep that hidden from his friend.

He wasn't sure what he was meant to say in reply that wasn't just another death threat towards Mr Jackson so he reached out and grabbed hold of Chase's hand instead, giving it a gentle squeeze. Almost immediately afterwards, Brent fixed the student was an accusatory stare. He hadn't missed that shiver. "You're cold."

Chase didn't expect Brent to say anything, but the hand holding was a nice touch. Chase was lucky to have someone like Brent. He really was. He gave Brent a smile, letting him know that he was okay, even if he just told Brent something like that. Brent was just... different. He didn't know. But he did know he was okay about letting that bit about his past out.

In response to the cold bit... well. Yeah. He was kind of cold. "Well. It's sometime in the middle of the night and it's not summer out. Of course I'm cold..."

Brent had discovered from a young age that he was a tad warmer than the majority of people because of the fire faerie in him so he hadn't really been that bothered by the chilly night air. That meant that he often forget that other people were mostly colder than him, like now for example. "I'm sorry, I'm just, like... naturally hot," Brent paused, a playful smirk tugging at his lips, "in every sense of the word." Brent was almost sorry for saying that out loud... wait, no. He wasn't. He definitely wasn't.

Would it be inappropriate if Chase agreed with Brent that he was hot? Because... he definitely was. Chase noticed that the first time he ever met Brent. "Mmm. Yes you are but right now I need the heat kind. So warm me up."

[/b] Chase said without really being able to stop himself. He leaned forward and wrapped his free arm around Brent's middle while leaning his head on Brent's chest. It kind of really surprised Chase how comfortable he was around Brent already. He needed someone like Brent... but it still surprised him how fast he was able to open up to him.

Brent spent a second feeling smug over how Chase had agreed with him before he'd realised that he'd moved again and was demanding warmth. "Jeez, a 'please' wouldn't go amiss, y'know?" he joked, chuckling quietly. It didn't bother him at all, really. Of course it didn't. Brent had plenty of hotness to share. Without hesitating, he wrapped both his arms around Chase and held him close. "Any better?" he smiled, looking down at Chase and hoping that he'd done the trick with that.

Apparently Brent didn't care that Chase agreed with Brent on his hotness, because he didn't say anything about it. In fact, the next thing he said was about Chase saying please. He laughed into Brent's shirt and cuddled as close as he could get. "Hmmm. But see. I didn't need to say please. Because you're doing it anyways."

[/b] Chase joked before lifting his head and kissing Brent's cheek again and whispering "But thank you."[/b] Chase laid his head against Brent's shoulder instead now and nodded when he asked him if he was warmer. Brent was actually a lot warmer... and body heat normally warmed people up anyways. "I'm a lot warmer. You just radiate hotness."[/b]

Brent smiled more when Chase kissed his cheek and uttered a 'thank you'. "Hmph. 'S nice to see you do have manners after all." he replied. He moved one of his arms slightly to flick Chase's hair because he could before moving it back again. He'd managed to do his job of keeping Chase warm successfully too, which was good. "Yup, I know I do." Brent wasn't one hundred percent sure what type of hotness Chase was on about there so he assumed it was both, just to make himself feel better, like the arrogant sod he was.
