Yeah. Chase kind of got that from the whole fire thing when he first found Brent. Chase didn't know why anyone would want to burn the forest, but he supposed Brent had to practice his power somewhere, and Chase would rather it be the forest than something else. Chase took a deep breath and laced his fingers together on his stomach as he kept looking up. He had a small smile on his face. "Try not to burn too much. We do need trees to live ya know."

Brent rolled his eyes at Chase. Jeez. He wasn't like a mass tree murderer or something, well, he was on especially bad days but they weren't exactly common so nobody would have to worry themselves over that. "Yeah, yeah. I get it." he looked over at Chase with a smirk. Then looked back over at the forest. Naw, a little voice in Brent's head totally hadn't just called Chase a hippie for that. Nope. That would just be plain rude, wouldn't it? And Brent wasn't rude.

Chase looked over at Brent and smiled at him before motioning with his head for him to come over. "Come and lay with me."

[/b] Chase asked while still smiling at him. He felt better now that Brent and him weren't avoiding each other anymore. Chase had actually felt like he missed Brent. Even if they really had only met a few times before. It was like... Chase had known him all his life. That was... weird but Chase didn't care. He turned his head back and looked back up at the sky. It was just beautiful.

Brent didn't really want to lay down on the forest floor because it would mess up his clothes but he knew he'd feel awkward saying no and having to explain that to Chase so merely grumbled under his breath about it before slowly laying down beside the soul faerie. He hmph'd quietly but otherwise didn't voice his discomfort. It was weird seeing the trees looming over him from a different angle - a nice weird. But he was still getting his clothes ruined... maybe ruined was a slight exaggeration here but, c'mon, this was Brent. He was allowed to exaggerate.

Chase smiled even more when Brent laid down next to him. He was trying to ignore the different emotions from Brent. It was easier to enjoy himself if he did that. After a few seconds with them both laying down, Chase looked over at Brent with a thoughtful expression. "So I think you should tell me something about yourself now. You know a lot about me... but I know barely anything about you."

[/b] Chase didn't know anything but that he was half fire fae and half siren. He liked music and to sing and play piano. He could play other things too, but he liked those two best. He wanted to know more.

The hybrid didn't know what he could really say about himself that was... nice or interesting. Basically, he had no clue where to start. "Like what?" he asked, avoiding from answering a little longer. Brent had never really told people much about himself, he'd never gotten close enough to anyone. Or, if he did, he'd just feed them a pack of lies. He knew he'd feel guilty if he lied to Chase though since he'd told Brent about his past. Also, being a soul faerie, wouldn't he be able to tell if Brent wasn't telling the truth?

Chase didn't care what Brent said. He didn't care if it was his favorite color, his favorite food, or maybe a secret from Brent's past that would make Chase slightly better about Brent knowing all his past. Not that Chase cared Brent knew or anything. It would just be nice to know something. "I don't care. Anything. How'd you get to be a teacher?"

Okay, right, Brent could answer that one easily enough without feeling inclined to lie about anything. Amazingly. "I lost my job and acquired a massive debt and so teaching here was the best option for me if I didn't want to end up selling most of what I own for money." he shrugged. There. Truthful information had been shared. Brent was feeling kind of proud of himself for that. He deserved an award or something in return for his honesty. Or alcohol. Yeah, preferably alcohol, he thought.

That was a slightly depressing reason to be teaching, but Chase was glad Brent had everything happen to him and he ended up here. It was... nice to have someone he could do this with. Just lay back and relax with a friend. Chase starting gazing at the clouds. They weren't stars... which was his favorite, but they were still beautiful. He pointed to one in the sky. "Look. That one is in the shape of a heart."

Brent's lips twitched upwards into an amused smirk when Chase pointed out a cloud to him that apparently looked like a heart. No. It really didn't. "Looks more like a dog shit to me." God, he'd seen too many of them thanks to Dianne and her habit of using his lovely clean carpet as a toilet.

And that was just about the sweetest thing anybody had ever said to him. It kind of surprised Brent, well, more than kind of. "I, um, thanks." he giggled chuckled, "I'm glad too."
