Chase's face couldn't stop smiling as he heard Brent start singing, it didn't take him long to fall asleep, but his brain was still taking in the lyrics of the song. Blue eyes? Chase had blue eyes... he smiled even more, if that were possible, and focused on Brent's singing mixed with the steady heartbeat coming from Brent's chest. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Chase didn't think he would ever grow tired of listening to the beautiful voice that was coming from the hybrid. He might just have to have Brent sing for him all the time.

By the time Brent had reached the end of the song, he was already kind of sleepy. It was a good thing he knew the lyrics to that so well or he probably would've gotten mixed up at some point. He sort of just wanted to keep on singing but sleep did seem slightly more appealing at the moment. Brent thought that Chase had dozed off now, which was cute. He'd sung him to sleep. Brent snickered quietly to himself, finding that amusing for some reason and then shut his eyes, falling asleep too in no time.

Chase wasn't sure how long he was out for, but when he came to, the sun had already set and the stars were out. Brent was still sleeping, and Chase was still curled up on him. Chase was actually a bit cold though. Before he woke up fully, he tried to get closer to Brent, but he was already pretty close to him. He had a long sleeve shirt on and he was still freezing. Chase slowly opened his eyes and looked at Brent. He looked so peaceful and cute when he was sleeping. Chase couldn't help but smile like a complete nerd. "Brent. The stars are out now. Breeeeeent."[/b] Chase whispered as he poked Brent's cheek softly.

When something poked his cheek, Brent grimaced at it's coldness and whined when he realised that he'd been woken up by Chase. He needed more sleep, sleep was good. And he had a headache, which wouldn't bother him if he went back to sleep. "They're not." he mumbled quietly, keeping his eyes closed. Technically he wasn't lying because he couldn't actually see if the stars were out. It would be okay to sleep for a little longer. It wasn't like the stars would only be out for a matter of minutes every night.

Oh. The stars weren't out, were they? Well that was funny because Chase was the one with his eyes open and looking at them and Brent was the one that wouldn't open his eyes. Chase laughed and didn't know how he was supposed to wake Brent up if he wouldn't even open his eyes. Well... he had a few ideas, but since he had avoided the professor for the same reason, he thought maybe that wouldn't be so good. Instead, Chase wormed his way out of Brent's arms and sat on his stomach before bouncing slightly. "But the stars, Brent. They're so pretty!"

Brent grimaced when Chase moved to sit on his stomach, which was kind of painful. That was more down to Brent being a wimp than Chase being heavy. "So's sleep." he whined again before moving his newly-freed arm to cover his eyes. Brent didn't care that he was being a horrible, nonsensical grump. He was allowed since he'd been rudely woken up, even if he'd known that was going to happen beforehand. It didn't make much of a difference, it just made him seem like more of an difficult arsehole than he already was.

Sleep was pretty? Chase wasn't sure how that was... sleep was just sleep. Sometimes it was just a time you didn't think, sometimes it was something that got to haunt you. Chase didn't care one way or the other for it. But it seemed like Brent loved it. Chase tried not to smile again as he thought of some way to get Brent up. "I'll kiss you again if you don't get up. And I will. Don't underestimate me."

Well, Brent thought that Chase's threat was pretty rubbish because, on the whole, he knew that he wouldn't mind in the slightest if he kissed him. However, considering the issues that had caused last time, it wasn't such a bright idea in his opinion. Tempting, yes, but problematic all the same.

Giving in, Brent moved his arm again to let it flop back down at his side and opened his hazel eyes. "Happy now?" the professor sighed. Then he used his index finger to jab Chase in the side, for good measure. The fae had just disturbed him from his peaceful sleep.

Chase was actually really proud of himself for thinking of that plan all himself. He might have been slightly depressed he couldn't kiss Brent, but that didn't mean it was what should have happened. Plus, Chase still thought it would be okay to bend down and kiss Brent on the cheek quickly before giving him a smile. "Now look up. Aren't they so beautiful?"

A kiss on the cheek was acceptable. Probably. It'd do. Brent was half looking at the stars and half at Chase, accidentally, of course. The guy was sat right in the way, okay? "Yeah." he murmured. The look on Chase's face was kind of extremely distracting but the night sky still was worth seeing. Brent managed a weak smile, too sleepy for anything more than that. It was the wrong time of day to get a grin out of him. Especially after he'd just woken up. Brent was still a little surprised that he had given up with sleeping, that didn't happen much.
