Brent started laughing, rolling his eyes at Chase fondly. He was extremely lucky to have a Chase around to compliment him so much. Brent thought that'd he was probably arrogant enough without the vanity he possessed from being half siren. That was his parents fault, not his. Definitely not his. "Hmm, I like your... everything." he grinned. That was really true, otherwise Chase wouldn't be here in the first place because it wasn't as if Brent often liked people, at least not enough to make a friend-thing out of them.

Chase liked Brent's laugh too, he decided, but didn't voice the thoughts because he yawned again and that kind of ruined it. He thought that he was okay to sleep now. Just maybe. As long as Brent didn't let go of him. "Can we sleep now?"

[/b] Chase whispered, still looking at Brent with a fond smile. "And if we can, can you sing to me again?"[/b] Chase asked in an even lower voice. He liked it the last time when Brent had sung to him. He hadn't had that for a long time.

Would it be weird to think that he liked Chase's yawn? That really sounded odd in Brent's mind so he kept quiet. Sleep was a good idea, it was always going to be a good idea. So was singing, actually. They were two of the things Brent loved doing the most. "Alright. That sounds good to me." he half-smiled. Brent used one arm to pull the duvet further up because he was feeling kind of hot but cold at the same time. Mainly because he'd always found this room to be chilly.

Chase was happy Brent agreed. He had calmed down enough to where he was positive he wouldn't dream. Maybe he'd have to get close to a sorcerer so they would make a potion of dreamless sleep. That's what he needed. Every night. For the rest of his life. After he was sure there was no more room for his to snuggle closer, he played idly with Brent's shirt and was grateful that Brent pulled the blanket up farther. He closed his eyes and waited for Brent to start singing so he could fall asleep.

Brent really hoped that Chase wouldn't end up having another nightmare or he wasn't going to be happy at all. Partly because that would mean he'd get disturbed again but mostly because he didn't want Chase to have to experience anything horrible like that. Right now, he looked peaceful, which brought a smile to the hybrid's lips. Then, having thought about what song he was going to steal and making a decision quickly, he began to sing. This time it was a soft, slow rendition of Someday You Will Be Loved by Death Cab For Cutie. Brent had always been extremely fond of it, and many other of the band's tracks.

Chase listened to Brent's voice as he was slowly falling asleep. He was pretty sure he recognized the song from somewhere. BUt he listened to so many songs in his life, he wasn't sure who it was by or what song it was. Either way, he started to drum on Brent with his fingers. The drumming slowly got slower and weaker as Chase was slipping back into sleep mode. He hoped he wasn't going to have a nightmare, but for some strange reason, he was pretty sure as long as he was with Brent, he wouldn't. He was happy with Brent. Eventually the tapping stopped and Chase's breathing evened out as he fell asleep.

Brent kept singing as he felt Chase's fingers drumming against him. Eventually, the tapping subsided completely so he stopped singing too. He was ninety-nine percent sure that the fae had fallen asleep. Brent smiled faintly and then shut his eyes, being too lazy to turn off the lamp that wasn't all that helpful anyway. It wasn't long before he drifted off too, with no difficulty now that he was cosy and comfortable with Chase. Hopefully they'd both get a good night's sleep, or as close as they could get to one considering the earlier interruption.

Chase wasn't sure how long he had been sleeping when he woke up, but it was at least a good few hours was later. It was about the normal time for CHase to wake up, but he remembered in the forest that Brent didn't like being woken up. They were still tangled together on the bed. Chase's head had moved off Brent's chest a little, so it was even easier to look at the sleeping hybrid he was laying with. Chase moved slightly and nuzzled into the crock of Brent's neck that was showing before kissing Brent's cheek bone. Surely he couldn't be mad if he was woken up this way?

Brent moved slightly when Chase nuzzled his neck but otherwise didn't wake up fully. Or didn't want to wake up anyway because sleep was awesome and a good way of passing time or being lazy. He headed further towards consciousness, feeling the kiss planted on his cheekbone. Brent's head was still a bit of a half-asleep jumble so he muttered, "Shush, m'sleepin'." Which made a surprising amount of sense. Brent would've been proud of himself if he had been awake enough to process or even realise what he was saying.

Obviously Chase knew Brent was sleeping. He wasn't even sure if he was fully trying to get him up... but he thought he was. Chase pouted slightly, but that was pointless as Brent couldn't even see it. He stopped pouting and decided to take this opportunity to get full pay for the hickey Brent left on Chase's neck that was still visible. Chase didn't think the teasing was enough. He was sleeping anyways... Chase smirked to himself before leaning into Brent's neck and kissing it once before sucking on it, aiming to make a mark while Brent was "sleeping". Next time, he should wake up and Chase wouldn't do this.
