Johnny smiled and pulled Chase into a brotherly hug. "Chase, Kage and I consider you a brother we never gotten to know. So of course we won't tell. Weren't you listening at all? As long as your happy, we are too. We'll always be here for you." Johnny said and instantly Kage came out. "Not only Johnny and me but also Eth and Bree-Bree. We're all here for you. And we'll wait until you get the courage to tell them." Kage said in his usual childish voice.

And right before Chase, Kage and Johnny switched again. "See? Even Kage agrees with me. Anything to keep you happy, Chase." Johnny patted Chase's shoulder and smiled. He turned around and looked around, "So, what's he like? When its just you and him?" Johnny asked calmly as he was about to cross the pedestrian lane.

It was still foreign to him. Having someone, or people, that care for him and want to see him happy. Chase was used to his mom wanting him to be happy, sure, but that hadn't been for a few years now, and Chase had been alone during those years. He had raised himself. He had done what he needed to get by, and then he put himself in this school because he needed to learn how to control his powers. That was what he needed to do to get by and he wasn't going to go back.

He didn't answer the rest of what Kage and Johnny had said, instead he answer the last question. "He's amazing, guys. He likes the same music I do. We've played together. He has an amazing voice and I just feel so comfortable with him. I want to stay curled in his arms for as long as I can. I've never been this happy."

Johnny and Kage listened happily as Chase explain how Brent McKinney was like. He sounded alright to them and he made Chase happy. That was what mattered. "Well,he makes you this happy then his good in our book... For now. But if he ever hurts you, all hell will break lose and a pregnant Bree will not hesitate to drown you beloved Brent." Johnny said as he smiled and entered the mall. He felt Kage shudder from the inside and he laughed. "Kage is still freaked out about shopping. Don't worry bro, we'll be at the music store and no where else." Johnny said as he led himself and Chase to the music store.

When they got there, Johnny looked around and saw that there was barely anyone else there save the people who work there. He turned to Chase, "So, which should be go first? Your drumsticks or our polish?... On second thought, we better do your drumsticks first. Everyone knows how long it takes you to choose a pair. We'll just grab the polish when we're done..." he said as he went to where the drumsticks were being displayed. "Should we invite him to play with us soon? You did say he has a good voice." Johnny said just before Kage forced himself out and whispered to Chase, "Johnny's avoiding the topic of your sex life." he said as he laughed and went back in, leaving Johnny to explain to Chase.

Chase laughed at Johnny and Kage. He knew they were two different people and all, but sometimes it still freaked Chase out a bit. They walked into the music store though and ended up going to the drumsticks right away. Good idea. Chase was picky about the kind of drumsticks he used because they had to feel good in his hands and still sound good when they hit the drums. He started looking through the different kinds. They had quite a lot, actually. So when he heard the mention about his sex life, he was kind of in drumstick heaven, so he wasn't that embarrassed. "Non existent? We haven't had sex yet. I blew him... but that's been in."

Johnny thought he was going to get yelled at but it didn't happen. Chase actually answered which made Johnny freeze where he was standing. He slowly turned to Chase and was in between the thought of laughing or remaining in shock. Johnny didn't have to decide since Kage came and an shook his head, whining. "Iie! Yamero, Chasy!! I didn't need to hear that!!" Kage was trying to get rid of the images that burned his innocent mind. True that Johnny had a lot of sexual encounters with others but he kept all thoughts and images away from Kage's thought. He was the innocent one.

"That wasn't nice Chase. Kage is running around our mind, getting rid of those images that popped into his mind because of your choice of words." Johnny said as he smirked and crossed his arms. It was nice to see a more confident and bolder Chase. "Well, McKinney is getting better in my book now. He managed to place a bucket full of confidence and boldness in you." he added as he turned to look at the drumsticks.

Chase just rolled his eyes at Kage. He was a baby sometimes, and he probably even knew that. Chase didn't think what he said was that big of a deal. He just shrugged and kept looking at the sticks. "You wanted to know. Not my fault."

Johnny listened and simply smiled. He was witnessing a great change in Chase and he was liking it. Johnny liked how Chase was being confident and more happier than he had been in a while. "Like I said, as long as your happy, then its good. Chase, if McKinney makes you this happy, by all means, be with the man. No one will stop you from your happiness but yourself." Johnny said as he pretended to look around and not show Chase how happy he really was. It was Kage who was always happy, not Johnny. But maybe... just this time, Johnny was happy for Chase.

Chase had just finished picking out a pair of drumsticks when he was overwhelmed with the shock that he was talking to JOhnny and not Kage. It was a bit weird. But it meant a lot to Chase. He wrapped his arms around Johnny's neck and hugged him tightly, not letting go. "Thank you, Johnny. It means a lot to me."

[/b] Chase told him in a whispered voice before pulling back and smiling at him. "These are the ones I want."[/b] Chase told him as he held up three sets of drumsticks.

Johnny was looking about when Chase wrapped his arm around his neck and said thanks before letting go. He turned to smile at Chase and ruffled his hair, "Your welcome, you. Your like the family I never got to have... And you know I take care of those I care of." he said as he looked at the the pair of sticks Chase had chosen. He took one of them and examined it. He wasn't an expert but when it came to drumsticks but he knew quality. "These look good... Alright. Now time to choose Sophia's new strings. Kage thinks she needs new ones and I just get the opportunity to spend." he said.

Johnny andKage had enough money to last them a long time. Johnny had been smart enough to get all those jobs when he was younger and earned extras doing other very odd jobs that he didn't really like to recall but was grateful because it paid him off well. And now he was free of the bad memories, Johnny was trying to make a new set of memories. One where he would want to remember for the rest of his existence.

Chase thought that might have been the cutest thing he had ever heard Johnny say. Chase thought of him as family too. Of course he did. But when he thought of him as family, he didn't think of his dad. He thought of Johnny as the family he should of had instead of the family he never had. He nodded at the guitar strings bit, deciding maybe it was best to not comment on the family thing. He laced his arm with Johnny's and smiled. "To the strings we go!"
