Kage looked at him in horror. Shopping? He shuddered at the memory of being dragged around by Pandora and Jay once. Kage swore to never again suggest they go to the mall and shop. He nervously laughed, "Shopping nya? I uhm... I still have shopping nightmares, Chasey... Evil Pan and Evil Jay... Shopping demons..." his eyes widen at the recollection. Surely Chase remembered that one weekend when Kage had asked Pan to help him pick out clothes.

She had brought Jay along which Kage thought was going to be fun. How wrong he was. When he got back to the dorm room, he had collapsed on the floor with a ton of shopping bags of clothes the Demons of Shopping had told him to get. Johnny had surfaced the next day and was basically an ass to everyone because of what had happened. No, Kage didn't want another experience.

Chase laughed. Yeah... okay. Chase could see where Kage was coming from with that, but this was a different kind of shopping. Chase didn't want to go clothing shopping. Although he wouldn't mind it because one could never have enough colored skinny jeans in their collection. Chase shook his head at his fire faery friend. "I was talking about like... going to the music store. I want to find drumsticks."

Kage's eyes widen in shock then he turned red in embarrassment. "Oh... Well... As long as it isn't the department store, shopping at the music store sounds good." Kage said as he rubbed the back of his head. He laughed, trying to get rid of his embarrassment. Then he finished his meal and turned to Chase. "Good thing you mentioned the music store, I need a new bottle of polish for Sophia. And I might just buy new strings for her. Just in case... Hey, I might even buy you whatever pair of drumsticks you might want to get." Kage said as he stood up and smiled at Chase.

Chase laughed at Kage when he turned red. Chase watched in amazement as he then finished the rest of his meal quickly. Chase took a sip of his pop once more, and then stood up with Kage. "You don't have to do that."

Kage shook his head and smiled,[ "Well, we'll see when we get there." Kage said as he shrugged. He didn't like to shop as much as he used to thanks to Pandora and Jay. He led Chase out the alley and towards the mall. Kage was about to ask something when Johnny took over without warning, he didn't bring out his smirk to not alert Chase that he wasn't Kage anymore.

"So, Chasy... I noticed how you defended Mr. McKinney earlier. Care to explain that?" he asked in a way Kage would have asked, hoping the other wouldn't notice the change.

Chase started walking, letting Kage lead because he didn't care either which way and because that seemed easier to him anyways. He looked over at Kage when he mentioned Brent again. Chase didn't understand, he thought they were done talking about Brent. He... didn't want to keep lying. Plus, that seemed like a Johnny question, not a Kage question. It confused him, but Chase was pretty sure he would have been able to tell if they had changed. "I didn't defend him, so there isn't anything to explain, of course."

Johnny smiled the way Kage usually did. "Nope, you totally defended him. I could tell, Chasy... Not that I mind at all if there is something... Its getting quiet frequent anyway... So.. why?" he asked with a smile. It was hard to be all cheery and Kage like since Johnny was pushy, cunning and very much forceful than that of Kage. He hoped that Chase wouldn't take too long to crack and just confess to him. Chase didn't need to worry about him spreading anything if Chase did say anything. Johnny was smiling as much as he could, "Come on, Chase... Just give in..." Johnny thought as he looked around, ready to cross the street.

Johnny sighed, he didn't know if he could lie anymore than he was. This was Chase for crying out loud. One of the very few people Johnny and Kage trusted with their secret. He stopped walking and turned to Chase, looking around and pulling him into an empty alley. "Chasy, I... We just want to know because you have been acting really strange lately. Ethan and I are strange... You are normal. But you have been disappearing more often than we are and that is saying a lot." Johnny said with a little whine.

Then he smiled, "Besides, its written all over you face Chase. That there is something there... You know you can trust me right? I... We would never tell anyone. Not when we know that it might put you in danger. That would be the last thing we ever want to happen. We just want to make sure that if ever, and we mean ever, something happens, we know who to go to instead of panicking. We love you Chasy... We would never let anyone and anything hurt you." Johnny said as he placed a hand on Chase's shoulder. He wasn't lying though. He'd burn anyone who would hurt Chase. No,he'd kill anyone who would hurt his friends.

Chase was sure of it now. This was Johnny, not Kage. How they had managed to switch without Chase realizing it was a question for another time, because he was cracking. "Johnny... I... but you... You can't tell anyone, okay?! He doesn't want anyone to know, and neither do I."

[/b] Chase told him in a loud whisper, running his fingers through his hair in frustration. "And he won't hurt me. He's perfect for me... I've never met anyone more perfect for me."[/b] Chase told Johnny, hoping he wouldn't freak out now that the truth was out there.
