It took a few seconds, but Brent did manage to work out why his legs had suddenly locked in place. It was some shitty wizard spell thing, obviously. Great, just fucking great. He wanted to get out of here because Brent wasn't enjoying this talk of theirs one bit. Cain was just showing off by performing all this magic crap, wasn't he? Of course he was. It was the only logical explanation Brent could think of. It was like every single thing the sorcerer did now was going to irritate the crossbreed further.

The fury was clear on his face when he'd been forced to turn around and face Cain. "Sorry, but I am fucking rude. Deal with it, Redferne." Brent forced a sarcastic smile, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. He made a frustrated little noise when he learned that using his fire fae powers weren't going to be any use in this situation. He needed them - nobody ever understood that though.

Cain crossed hislegs and enjoyed watching Brent getting angry. ”I don't have to deal with your rudeness, Brent. I don't have to deal with anything really. However, what I have to deal with is the fact that you dared to hurt a student with you flames because he punched you. As I recall, the attack was physical and could have been dealt differently than how you had done it. Though it is done, I have to really express how horrible the act was.”

Though Andrew said that he didn't want Cain to do anything, he couldn't just let it go. It wasn't about Andrew being burnt. It was the fact that Brent, a teacher, had dared to harm a student who more or less could barely defend themselves from powerful attacks from a teacher. That bastard was enjoying this, wasn't he? Brent could see it, written all over his smug face. Again, Cain was going on about his dumb opinions concerning what Brent had done and, again, Brent couldn't bring himself to care. He glared at the wall because it was a lot more interesting than that man sat there, spouting a load of what Brent could only describe as shit. He kept quiet, hoping it would help to avoid a further rant from the sorcerer. This was tortuously boring, as well as aggravating. Still, Brent did have a feeling that ignoring the younger man wasn't going to help things at all.

The little speech prove to be in vain because the other wasn't listening to what he was going to say. So Cain had to use that. He sighed, ”Since the first talk didn't work, I better take another turn. Hopefully, this one gets your attention.”

”I have heard from a little bird that you have been fraternizing with a minor. Not only that, the said minor is a student of this very institution. Now, let's say someone got to this student and did unspeakable acts just like what you had done with Mr. Locke? What would you do, Brent? And Cain still wasn't going to shut up, much to Brent's displeasure. Now he was listening though, and Cain knew about him and Chase and shit this wasn't good at all. But, no, the Redferne had his fancy fucking rhune things to prevent the half-fae from burning his annoyingly handsome face off. He didn't want to think of anyone hurting Chase because he would definitely do all that he could to kill them. "Leave him out of this. I wouldn't let anyone hurt Chase anyway, okay? Okay." This time he looked straight at Cain and wished that he'd just explode into a million pieces or something because of the frustration Brent felt at this moment. It would make his life easier.

Cain wanted to laugh. He had never known the name of the student at all. But here was Brent, sharing who it was by himself. This was easier than Cain had imagined. He had to smirk and look at Brent right back, ”Chase? Mr. Chase Michael Jackson? Well, thank you for sharing the name, Brent. I never did find out who it was. Well, until you told me yourself.”

[/b] he said as he did his best to stifle his laughter. Brent was obviously impulsive and hot-headed. Not because he was half a fire elemental, no. That was just how Brent McKinney was.

”Anyway, I never said that I had any plans to hurt Mr. Jackson. No, not at all. I don't have the right reasons to do so. I was merely giving you an example. What do you think would happen if someone from Mr. Locke's side found out about what you would have done, what do you think you would do then? And done be crude if you think you can make them shut up by threatening to burn them or something. That would be sick and low of you.” Cain said as he spoke with venom dripping, showing his distaste for low life scumbags who use threats to over power others. Had he really been that stupid? Brent was 289% done with himself and his inability to say the correct thing. He was never going to learn to keep his mouth shut if at the right moment, was he? The crossbreed had gone and automatically assumed that Cain already knew who it was that Brent had been seeing when now it was clear that he hadn't. He had enough sense to now say anything more about it to avoid digging himself a deeper hole, as he was often prone to doing.

Brent didn't care about being apparently 'sick and low' when he threatened to burn people, that was just Cain's opinion. And the man was pretty sure that trapping him here and purposely winding him up was also 'sick and low'. Chase wasn't going to get hurt though so he relaxed a bit. "Nobody was going to start stirring up shit about it, apart from you. You're making a big fuss over nothing." It was more than just nothing but Brent didn't care. He never did.

”Anyway, just think of what will happen if news did somehow got out and someone on Mr. Locke's side would find out, you Brent will be facing a huge amount of trouble. And a permanent ban from teaching. Cain was keeping quiet? That was excellent news, without a doubt. Although, deep down, Brent couldn't help but think that the Redferne was lying to him - but he couldn't be sure, after all. It wasn't like Brent had any clue as to what went on inside that arrogant, pointlessly huge head of Cain's.

A permanent ban from teaching wasn't something that he felt opposed to in the slightest. He really couldn't care less about this whole matter and knew that it was stupid to get so riled up about it. "Okay, yeah, that wouldn't bother me. None of this crap is bothering me... But you know what is?" The hybrid's eyes narrowed as he leant towards the other man. "You."

”Well, now that you really do not care about teaching, what will you be doing? If you don't mind me asking that is. And you will be moving again in about five minutes but again, you can't use your flames on me.” he inquired and smiled at Brent.
