Dom shook his head, "It can't be help, Orie. You can't be able to save everyone while keeping yourself safe too. Besides, we all were probably destined to go through what we had to in order to shape the person who we are now." Dom said as he patted his older brother's shoulder. And then he sighed as Oriel told him that he was being stupid. "Well, I didn't fight just to pay for the investigators Orie. I had to fight to have the money to buy food and pay for the room I rented. Germany wasn't the nicest place two hundred years ago. It still isn't nice today." Dom explained.
He sighed as he took a sip of his own beer. He had to try to change the topic now, "So, where is my niece? How old is she now? She's half fae so she ought to still be alive now right?" Dom asked as he looked at Oriel.

Oriel looked at his brother sadly. He had to go through a lot where Oriel just lost his memory and he wanted to take back the comment about it being stupid that he fought. Then he wanted to know about his niece even Oriel didn't know what his daughter was up to. "I think she'll be about 250 now. I don't know where she is. I know she got married and had a few kids. They probably had kids and they probably had kids. I actually think she married a faerie. So all my kids are faeries too. I think she figured out her powers before I did." He laughed when he was thinking about his daughter. He missed his daughter. He missed Clara.

Dom laughed as Oriel spoke of Clara, his daughter. "Well at least you had a chance to live a normal life, got married, and had kids. Even if your wife died, which I'm sorry about that. But at least you got to live, Orie. Just be thankful for that. Cause not everyone got to experience the same life you had." Dom said, trying his best to take out the bitter tone. Dom could understand that his brother was just feeling a bit sad and guilty that he had tolive a rough kind of life while he got off easy. But things had already happened and Dom wouldn't trade it for anything.
"Wherever you daughter is, just be glad that you had one and raised a wonderful child even if we weren't there to see her grown up and everything. As long as you yourself is alright with everything, the rest of the world won't hold it against you for trying to find a haven in it crazy life plots." Dom suggested, trying to be the better person now.

Oriel felt bad for his younger brother. He could tell that Gren was bitter for having to live a life of pain. Oriel wanted to take back everything that happened to him so he could of been by his brother's side, but then he would've never had met Clara. A waitress came over bringing Oriel another beer which he took with a smile. "I'm sorry Gren. You would've loved Clara. She was so sweet. I wish... I wish I would've remembered you and everyone else. I'm glad I do now though." Oriel smiled softly taking a drink of his beer. Remembering the things from his youth. "Gren, remember that one time when we were in our young teens and mere tol us not to go into the swamp, but I was really interested by the plants. When we came back... we were covered in muck." Oriel couldn't contain his laughter. It was the little things like that he wanted to remember.

Dom finished his beer and got another one when one of the waitress' came. He took another one and listened as Oriel gave his speech. Between the both of them, Oriel hadn't changed at all. Still the worrying older brother Dom remembered. He then shook his head, "Like I said, we all had to go through what we had to be the person we are now. And I probably would have. You make her sound like an angel. Orie... Just... Stop worrying. What's done is done. But we're here now and that's what matters, alright?" dom was trying his best to the better person too.
Then his brother just had to remind him of that memory. Dom couldn't help but laugh with him. It was really hilarious now that they look back on it. "Of course I remember. However, I remember it quite differently. I remember that it was you who made me go with you to the swamp despite my protests. Then after getting that blasted plant, you just had to slip and fall into that boar trap and grabbing me with you." Dom reminded him in between his laughter.
when it came to Oriel, Dom could never stay mad at him. Never.

Oriel hadn't laughed this hard in years. He was trying to wave Gren off but he was laughing just too hard. "Remember mere's face, she was so angry. But was so glad that we were okay that she told us to just go take a bath and that she would decide our punishment the next morning, but she never did." It was things like that Oriel wish he'd never forgotten. "That was the one time we did anything crazy. It was always our younger siblings that did things like that. Oriel sighed take another drink of his beer. He missed that. There was something about being with his brother that made him feel like he was that young kid climbing through the swamp. "That plant was really cool..."

Dom just had to laugh as well. He remembered those days too. And yes, it was their younger siblings that got into trouble more often than they hoped for. "Well, I remember for certain the twins being in more trouble than I could count with your hands and mine. Add Fauve to them and it was always a catastrophe." Dom said as he regained his composure. He was just glad that everything was starting to go according to his plan.
"Oh remember that time when we tried to throw a surprise birthday party for Fauve and the twins were in charge of bringing the cake and balloons in? Laurent was holding the cake and with the candles already lit and Leverette was bringing the balloons. Bijoux just had to trip Lev that was walking behind Laurent. Before anyone could blink, Lev had pushed Lau and the cake ended up all over Fauve who screamed and through cake around." Domsaid as he remembered the last surprise party they were decided to have.

The twins, how could Oriel forget. They were so much trouble. Plus Fauve always seemed to get herself into trouble. She didn't need any help. Fauve's birthday catastrophe, was probably his favorite twins memory. "I remember the look on Char's face she had worked so hard on that cake." All these memories were making him laugh but Oriel knew there was one subject that should be touched but wasn't sure he wanted to go there quite yet, just having found his brother. "Remember when we left. How much mere was crying. Have you found out anything about mere and pere?" Oriel wondered if his parents were still alive. They could be they were pure faeries.

Dom had to laugh again, remembering how angry Charnelle had been with Bijoux. she had spent nearly four hours to make the cake and the frosting and it just ended on Fauve's face. Then all the laughter died down when Oriel asked if he had any news of the others and their parents and the fact that Oriel asked him if he remembered how their mother looked when they ran. Dom turned serious and took a long swig of his beer. How was he even going to begin explaining what his investigators had found out? he turned to Oriel and took a deep breath.
"All my investigators concluded that when we all got separated, mutter and vater suddenly had disappeared into the forest. Some who had survived the war and had seen them ran said that they ran into the forest and never heard from them again." Dom didn't want to be the bearer of bad news. Not right now. He just found Oriel. And hearing that Fauve worked at the same place he was made Dom happier than the day he arrived in Northvale with hope of seeing his family again.[/blockquote]

Oriel didn't want the good memories to go but he needed to know. But Gren didn't know what had happened to their parents, or maybe he didn't he just didn't want to say anything yet. So they probably were gone. Oh, well, Oriel thought taking another drink of his beer. He wasn't sure if he wanted to push the subject further. "So, why, uh Northvale? I mean it doesn't really seem like your kind of place, Gren." This was more the place for Oriel and his now laid back nature. Not the place for the hot-headed Fauve and gossipy talkative Gren.
