Gabriel was in an elated mood which could’ve been due to the alcohol in his system or the blood high he was on or maybe it was just this night, he just felt like he could donate a large chunk of his money to some needy charity or some shit. Fuck knows. All he knew was that he was in a really good mood as he walked the streets of the centre Northvale after just leaving The Blood Inn – of which, was a fucking genius idea of a place and this vampire was sure he would be spending many future nights in there, wasting away more of his money. As he walked, his loyal companion, Guinness, walked aside him. The hound was a large dog, tall, built strong and gracefully with a dark, scruffy rough-coat. He looked like he came right out of The Hound of the Baskervilles and was probably scary looking to some cowards, but he was a good dog. Gabriel had raised him from when he was a pup, just a little runt that was going to die out on the streets if Gabriel hadn’t been in a similar mood as to what he was in now, but ever since, Guinness had faithfully followed the vampire nearly everywhere he went. Even if he had to wait outside, in the cold, rain or snow. Gabriel found the loyalty endearing- he reached down and scratched the dog behind the ear- he would never admit it, not even to himself but he did love the animal.
Taking a route down a dimly lit alleyway, Gabriel’s mood led him to drunkenly singing an Irish folk song, cheerfully, loudly, to himself “Of all the money that e'er I spent - I've spent it in good company - And all the harm that ever I did - Alas it was to none but me-” He paused mid verse as the wind carried a scent across to him, a fellow vampire, looking for something to prey upon by the smell of it. But, there was another scent that he caught then though- he sniffed- a witch, a witch that was most likely going to be the vampire’s unwilling meal tonight. Gabriel was just going to continue onwards, singing and walking home in merry spirits but then, he caught wind of…something else, something about the witch he couldn’t quite put his finger on based on scent alone, it was a curious thing, maybe it was just his drunken state that was making him hard to properly identify the difference, or maybe there wasn’t anything at all but it was enough to make him stop. When it came to other vampires attacking others, normally he wouldn’t care, why would he? He was a vampire himself, he knew what it was like when you were feeling peckish at this time of night but Gabriel, much like the time he saved Guinness, felt like being a good guy tonight. Play fucking hero, live up to his namesake and swoop in like a guardian Angel- he laughed out loud at the thought, oh how he always found it ironic that someone who has killed hundreds in his existence was named after a fucking Angel.
Gabriel followed his senses, which led him to the other vampire just as he was about to attack the witch, acting fast, the Irishman intervened. Grabbing the fucker by the mouth just before he latched onto the witch. He was met by the vampire’s jaws closing on his hand, biting through Gabriel’s fingerless gloves but the bite was nothing, hell, despite the teeth drawing blood it only felt like a puppy’s bite to Gabriel. The other vampire growled as Gabriel stood between the creature and the witch, and shoved the other vampire by the mouth when it released its hold on him for a moment with enough force to send him stumbling backwards “You’re not munching on this one tonight boyo” He laughed as he flexed his fingers. “You’ve not got much of a bite on you, have you?” He sniffed the vampire again, now that he was closer. “Oh, you’re a rookie. That explains it.” “She’s mine! I found her and I’m hungry, so move aside.” “Or I could not?” Gabriel replied, laughing lightly, amused by the new vampire’s tone and demanding words. He actually wanted to smack the kid. New vampires could sometimes really piss him off, thinking that they were more than they actually were, like they meant more now that they were undead than they did before as a huma. This one was quite clearly one of those types. “Leave.” Gabriel growled. “Or I could tear out your heart and give it to my dog as a chew toy? The choice is yours.” He smiled, a part of him hoping the kid would stay, another considering doing the deed anyway but as the kid cursed angrily, and skulked off Gabriel let him leave with his life.
With the other vampire taking its leave, the Irishman removed the glove covering his hand as he turned to face the witch. He flexed his fingers before lifting his hand to his mouth to lick his own blood off- all the while, Guinness was looking up at his master seemingly with concern- and before the witch could say anything herself, he grinned at the girl “Everything okay here, flower?" He asked her in his Irish purr as if he actually cared. "Oh, and you're welcome"

It was stupid and reckless. Taking a walk at 2am but the witch couldn’t sleep and felt like it. Maybe she was secretly praying that if she got into any danger then he would come and rescue her? Just like he always did. She pushed a hand through her platinum hair. You should really stop thinking like that, Pan; it’s never going to happen. He’s gone.
Unfortunately that was the hardest thing to really believe. Especially when she needed him back so much. She was still lost without him. The streets were eerie at night, but the witch didn’t care. She had a wand in her boot if anything bad happened. Her charms ability could stop most races; emphasis on most. She started to walk down an alleyway. Then she felt it. Was it paranoia or did she sense something was with her? She turned her head to look and she could see something in the shadows. She quickened her pace. She wasn’t scared, quite the opposite really. She had a death wish. There was so much pain in her heart, what was the point of living this life? It would never heal. Despite what they all told her. They didn’t understand that she loved him, and without him, her life was meaningless. She saw a flash before the vampire was in front of her. The hunger was obvious in his eyes. There was no humanity there so she didn’t bother pleading for her life. Really, she didn’t want to start pleading for her life. It wasn’t a life she wanted to live. She watched the vampire as his fangs elongated. To him, she was a meal. To her, he was a way out of the pain. He threw her against the wall, pinning her there. Pain shot through her back but she didn’t care. She accepted her fate quite easily. What was there to live for now anyway? Dying at the hands of a vampire. At least it would be a relatively quick way to go. She hoped. His fangs were by her neck. She shut her eyes, bracing herself for the bite. It never came. Her eyes fluttered open to see another vampire. Her heart leapt for a fraction of a second. Was it? No. He hadn’t come to save her. This was another vampire. She watched the fight. Why was this new vampire trying to save her? What was the point? The young vampire obviously was hungry, and it was better they killed her than some other person who had slightly more to live for. But the older vampire was fighting for her and he won. The young vampire actually left, after cursing quite a bit that was. Well, he had just been denied a meal. She watched as he removed his glove, licking off his blood. At his grin, she just stared with the same impassive expression that came so naturally to her nowadays. Flower? He had got to be fucking kidding her. She could hear the Irish accent in his voice but it didn’t have the same effect as it would a mere week ago. "You should have just let me die, would’ve been easier”. She pushed herself away from the wall, adjusting her leather jacket. She began to walk down the alleyway but stopped. She turned around to face the vampire. “By the way, don’t call me flower fucking again-” she was about to turn around and leave again but something stopped her, she gave the vampire the smallest of smiles (it was all she was really capable of now) “-my name’s Pandora. Thanks, I guess, for saving my life”[/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Clicky!Tagged: Gabe! Notes: She's so thankful xDWords: 606Credit: Chloe!

Should have just let her die. Quite clearly, this was a sign from the universe telling him to only stick to random acts of ‘saving’ others in good moods to dogs, which was fine, he was more than happy to live and let die. The witch’s words, her tone, her face, her scent, well, wasn’t she just Little Miss Sunshine? “Anymore happiness and from you and I think I would burst into ashes.” He replied sarcastically as she pushed away from the wall, adjusted her leather jacket and just like that, walked off. Fine “Looks like we should’ve just gone home lad” The vampire chuckled as he finally stopped nursing the petty wound, put his glove back on and leant down and scratched the hound under the chin, the dog proceeding to brighten up a notch, tail wagging, from the attention he received from his master.
As the witch was leaving however, curiosity led him to analysing her scent now that he was closer and the first thing he picked up was a strong tone of loss. A pain. Heart break. Meaning that she loved someone who…abandoned her? There was no mourning in her scent to suggest that they died or the sense of utter betrayal to imply that she was cheated on. Gabriel personally never really understood that kind of shit, loving another person so much so that losing them felt like life wasn’t worth living anymore and he hoped he had the sense to kill whoever he was with if he ever started developing such feelings because he had eternity. He didn’t need that shit. When the witch stopped and turned to him again, he looked up and paused, flower? Had he called her flower? Oh right, he had. He hadn’t even registered that he used the word until she pointed it out to him but if she didn’t want to be called it fair enough. Gabriel was actually surprised to see a small smile on her face, it was barely noticeable but it was there and enough to make him finally take note that she was a pretty young woman, white-blonde waves that cascaded down just past her shoulders, pale cream skin, full heart shaped lips, large, quite beautiful blue eyes that were a shade or two darker than the colour of Forget-me-nots, and she nice legs, damn did she have nice legs. Pandora. “Pretty name. And like I said before: you’re welcome” He waved off the thanks, for some reason he didn’t like the word all that much. It was like the word sorry, and love, spoken too often by others to hold any real meaning to the Irishman.
“Gabriel.” He introduced himself, just as Guinness nudged his hand with his wet nose, wanting more of the attention he had received moments ago. The vampire scratched the hound behind the ears with both hands, the hound looked up at him, eyes half closed, enjoying the rough scratching that’d hurt any human “And this fella is Guinness.” He smiled at the hound before he looked up at the witch and stopped the fierce scratching with a stroke across the hound’s head. "Because I'm a nosey bugger and it's completely normal to ask such a question...why have you got a death wish?" He asked casually, not really expecting any other answer but something along the lines of 'mind your own fucking business' as he, himself, would say in reply but his curiosity called for the question to be asked. If it wasn't going to be answered then at least he could tell his curiosity to shut the fuck up because it wasn't going to receive an answer any time soon.

She rolled her eyes at his words. Yes, she wasn’t happy, but she had a bloody good reason not to be. Her heart had been ripped from her chest. Taken by the man she loved and thought that she’d spend the rest of her life with. She heard his words to his dog but didn’t turn around. Yes, he should have. Gone home, and she’d be on the floor with her life leaving her by now. But then she thought about it more. The people she loved, her friends, how it would hurt them if she died. The people like Alex, Bree, Toby, Adam... Okay, so maybe it was a good thing that this vampire had saved her life.
She turned and thanked the vampire. She may have had a death wish but it would have been selfish to leave her friends behind. They cared about her and then they would feel the pain that she felt right now. Pandora wouldn’t wish that upon anyone. It was the worst feeling in the world. No amount of torture could compare to it.
He complimented her name, like many did. It was quite unique in its own way. Everyone had heard of the name from the myth but no one was really called it anymore. Except her. His name was Gabriel and the smile that had tugged at her lips widened just a fraction. “Well, Gabriel, trying to live up to your name and be a guardian angel?” she spoke, her voice just marginally sarcastic as she teased him. Okay, teasing the vampire that had just saved her. Maybe she did have a death wish...
Her eyes flicked down to the dog as he demanded attention from his master. Guinness. She chuckled at the name and stepped toward the dog, extending a hand to allow him to sniff her before she stroked his head softly. “I think I’m beginning to like you more than the drink...” she told the creature before looking up at Gabriel again. “He’s adorable. I have a German Shepherd of my own: Hades” she said. She knew exactly where the dog would be - curled up on her bed in her dorm room due to the absence of his mistress.
And then he asked the question. Why did she have a death wish? She sighed, pushing a hand through her hair. Normally, she’d yell at a person for asking but so many people had been asking it was just easier to tell the truth. And the man had just saved her life. “My fiancé left me last week, just out of the blue. I didn’t get a reason or anything. We’d been together seven months...” she trailed off. He probably didn’t want all the details and she certainly didn’t want to start crying again. It’d been two days since she’d cried. She wanted to keep it that way.
Shaking her head she looked at Gabriel. “I’m sorry; I guess ‘my fiancé just left me’ would have sufficed. And it’s okay that you asked, really. Everyone else has been asking. Natural curiosity always gets the better of us” she told him. Heck, she was terrible when it came to wanting to know everything. If a secret was kept from her she’d be annoyed.

So little miss sunshine actually had some humour left in her to spare on the vampire. He smirked with amusement at her sarcastic, teasing words “Who says behind the devilish good looks, I’m not one?” He replied. The girl was no fool, which was a fact at he could tell not just by her scent, but by the look in her eyes. Okay, maybe she was enough of one for ‘giving her heart’ to another but he had met girls that would’ve taken his reply and used it to paint a pretty, idealistic picture of the vampire as being something he wasn’t and this heartbroken witch was certainly not one of them. Thank fuck for that. Deluded girls were only good for a nice shag once or twice and maybe some of the sweet blood that ran through their veins before you shattered that idea they constructed of you and left them to pick up the pieces of their broken heart. Girls like Pandora, smarter girls, were less pathetic. Sure, by her scent and her words she was the kind that played with fire but what was the point in living any life playing the game safe?
When she looked at Guinness, he Gabriel watched as she extended her hand to the dog, letting the Irish Wolfhound sniffed her hand before gently stroking his head, the dog leaning in to the witch’s touch. The hound being an affectionate animal, loved receiving affection himself so even the small act of being stroked on the head was probably enough to make the dog like the girl. Her words were amusing though, she was beginning to like the hound more than the drink already? She either didn’t rate the beer too highly or she was just very fond of dogs. “He’s not a bad dog.” He looked down at the hound with a small smile only to look up when she spoke again. She had a dog herself? He thought about it, took in the words and…nope, still didn’t give a shit whether she had a dog or a fucking pet anteater…why would he? “Got y’self a hellhound at home then?” He replied anyway with a smile.
Gabriel was surprised when after running a hand through her white blonde hair- of which it glided through like fingers across feathers- she actually answered his question. So her fiancé had left her, after seven months, wasn’t seven months meant to be a considerably short amount of time these days? Or did he just have his time periods mixed up? Christ, if early marriages were making a comeback then no wonder why there was so many divorces around there. Gabriel himself didn’t personally see the point of marriage. It was just a fucking title wasn’t it? Either way Pandora had clearly been in love with whatever young man she was going to marry or at least thought she was and had her heart set on marrying him. Gabriel thought that maybe if she was talking to another person and not Gabriel, maybe, just maybe, they’d care, feel sorry for her, wish her good well-being for the future or some shit. Gabriel however? Once again didn’t really care, he didn’t know the girl and she had brought the heartache on herself. But still, in his current cheery mood wasn’t going to shoot her down, he wasn’t going to feed her stupid lies, but he wouldn’t make her feel more shit about what happened “That’s shite luck but look on the sunnier side, the lad could’ve left you with a bastard to raise by yourself.” He spoke. “An’ if he has, then I’m sorry but I’m not a man that can offer any kind words.” Or more like, you’ve landed yourself in a fucking mess of a situation, love.
He shrugged as she apologized to him for no real reason really, he had asked hadn’t he? She could’ve told him the whole fucking sad story and it would still be an answer “No need to apologize love, I don’t mind.” Gabriel replied.

She rolled her eyes as he commented. “Honey, you aren’t that good looking, stop being vain. And really? One look and I can tell you’re no guardian angel”. Her first comment may have been a lie. He was quite handsome, she had to admit it, but she felt no attraction whatsoever to the vampire, nor did she to any man anymore. “But maybe you’re trying? Who knows? Saving a witch’s life, I suppose that’s one to the thousands you’ve probably killed” her words were still snarky. She couldn’t really stop it. It was a lot easier to think of a sarcastic response than something that was kind and from the heart.
She was falling in love with Guinness as he leaned in to her hands. Animals, dogs in particular (cats could burn in hell for all she cared), probably had to be the witch’s Achilles heel. She loved them to pieces. Of course, it had to be an actual dog – not a rat like you get nowadays. She laughed as he called Hades a hellhound. “Oh yes, the worst that Hades’ll do is steal your bed at night” she spoke with a roll of her eyes. She loved the pup, though.
It was weird, to be telling a person about her relationship with Sebastian, but somehow it came easy to her. She understood that she’d have to start telling people about it more and more but it was hard. Already, there was a pain forming in the girl’s chest. It still hurt so to talk about it – it was why she tried to avoid it so much.
A laugh left her lips. It was such an alien sound to her she found herself silent for a moment, just wondering if she’d actually made the sound. Shaking her head softly, she looked up at Gabriel. Shite luck? That was an understatement but it amused her. She found herself smiling. Shuddering at the thought of having to raise his child (yes, she’d wanted it once, but without him it’d be hell), she chuckled once more. Somehow, the pet names weren’t irritating her today. Normally, she’d hit people for calling her ‘love’ but Gabriel... He’d just saved her life. She’d give him this one. And hitting vampires meant broken hands. She’d done that many a time.
“Don’t worry. He hasn’t left me with a bastard. Otherwise I’d be out there somewhere tracking him down with a stake so I can plunge it straight through his dead heart” she was mildly surprised by the anger that was in her words. But it was forming now. He’d left her, without any reason, and she was pissed. She was actually fucking angry at him. “I mean, not only would he left me with a child. But a fucking half-vampire? God, he’d be dead right now if that happened” she took in a deep breath trying to calm herself. It was the first time she’d really gotten angry with Sebastian. For a week she’d been gripped by melancholy. Tears had flowed so easily but now. Now she was on the warpath. Now, she just wanted to cause him all the pain that he had caused her. He’d made her feel weak. Something she hated the most. And for that – she could actually murder him.
