**General Information
There are two different branches of vampires. The born and the bitten. Unfortunately, the wars greatly decreased the amount of born vampires. Many of the great families perished during the fighting, meaning only few remain. There are many bitten vampires still around. Vampires would go around 'recruiting' humans for the war effort.
The main difference between a born and a bitten vampire is that the born still appear to 'age'. Although they maintain the looks of a twenty-five year old, there are subtle differences which seperate the old from the young in the born world. The older a vampire the more weathered their skin seems to become. Of course, it would take a trained eye to see this.
The young born age much like a normal human. They grow up from a baby. The children do not gain their supernatural powers until later. Their fangs come in at five years of age but they cannot produce venom. When they are twelve, they start gaining some of their abilities and begin to feel a bloodlust. At sixteen they have half of their ability and start producing the venom. Finally, they reach maturity at eighteen, gaining use of their full powers and then stop appearing to age at twenty-five. Female born vampires are also able to bear children when they reach maturity.
Bitten vampires are slightly different. They are frozen at whatever age they were bitten. Due to this 'freezing' it means that the females cannot reproduce. Their bloodlust is extremely strong when first bitten and takes roughly a year to control. Younger humans have a larger struggle of their bloodlust when bitten and if a child is younger than ten then it is unlikely they will ever gain control of their bloodlust.
Unlike most stereotypes, vampires can go out in sunlight though the light will weaken them slightly (by three points in each stat). Ingesting different types of blood will also affect their stats with animal blood weakening them, human blood has no change and blood of the supernatural will make them stronger.
In order to kill a Vampire, you need to either plunge a wooden stake through their heart, have them bitten by a werewolf or the interneco curse. These are the only three ways to kill a vampire. Other attempts can harm a vampire but ut is possible for them to heal. Even beheading a vampire would not necessarily kill them. They can still be brought back to life by another if the body part is reattatched.
*The Vampire Ruling

[li] It is illegal to drink the blood of other supernatural races unless granted permission. If you are caught doing so and judged guilty by the Council it will result in your fangs being taken from you. The Carnificis will be ordered to remove the vampire's fangs by any means necessary in front of the Council. If the offense is then repeated after the removal of their fangs they will be sentenced to death.
[/li][li] Vampires are forbidden to turn anyone under the age of 16. If you are caught doing so and judged guilty by the Council it will result in your fangs being taken from you. The Carnificis will be ordered to remove the vampire's fangs by any means necessary in front of the Council. If the offense is then repeated after the removal of their fangs they will be sentenced to death.
[/li][li] If you turn someone you must stay with them long enough to teach them the supernatural laws, how to control their instincts, new superhuman abilities and bloodlust. If not, the new vampires must be sent to Northvale Academy so that they will receive necessary instruction.
[/li][li] Any behavior that threatens exposure of the supernatural races is not allowed. If the Council feels you are be to careless their Enforcers will be deployed to put an end to your behavior and bring you forward to explain your actions to the Council.
[/li][li] The Council understands that sometimes, mistakes are made and death may occur when feeding. There is some leniency to this and the Council through their Enforcers being able to cover up small deaths. However, if it's clear that the act was deliberate or mass murder is occurring the Enforcers will bring you before the Council. If proved guilty you will be sentenced to death in front of the Council by the hands of the Carnificis.
[/li][li] Vampires are only permitted to change the maximum of four individuals into vampires. If more are made, as punishment the Council will order the death of the new vampires.
[/li][li]Like all the other races, Northvale Academy must always have a Representative of our race. Currently, the acting Representative at the academy is Themis Sicarus.

**Their Powers
Vampire rankings are very similar to werewolves’. The only exceptions are that their maximum levels are higher because they can live longer and their powers can be temporarily increased by drinking certain types of blood. They start with 10 points. After birth or bite, they get an additional point every 5 years. Every 30 posts, they get another point. Points can be divided between the following categories:
Speed
Starting speed is 80kph/50mph, and each point increases this by 5kph/3mph. Max 40.
Strength
Starting strength is slightly above the average wolf. If another wolf or vampire has more points than another, they are stronger, simple as that. Max 40.
Agility
Like strength, this starts slightly above an average wolf and is measured in comparison to vampires and other wolves. Max 40.
Durability
0-2: Can still stand after punches and kicks
3-5: Can still stand after blows from non-metallic bars, bats, etc
6-9: Can still stand after blows from heavier metallic objects
10-13: Can still stand after being hit by a car at <30mph
14-17: Can still stand after being hit by a car at <40mph
18-22: Can still stand after getting shot in a non-vital area
23-29: Can still stand after getting hit by a bus
30-40: Can still stand (but not necessarily survive afterward) after getting shot in the abdomen
40-54: Can get up after falling off a 5 story building.
55: Max. Can get up after being hit by a train.
Senses and instinct
Starting senses: Smell 1.5km/0.9mi away, hear 5km/3.1mi away, can smell fear and distinguish between individuals they have encountered before and different races. With each additional point, can smell .2 km further, hear .5km further.
2-4: Can smell other strong emotions such as lust, depression, love, anger.
5-8: Can distinguish age and general personality (danger, aggression)
9-13: Can smell subtler emotions such as anxiety, sadness, joy

3-6: Can run at full speed for an hour
7-11: Can run at full speed for 2 hrs
12-19: Can run at full speed for 3 hrs
20 - 29. Can run at full speed for 4 hrs
30-44.: Can run at full speed for 6 hrs
45: Can run at full speed for 8 hrs
Blood types
After ingesting certain types of blood, vampires can find all of their stats enhanced for a limited amount of time. Two days after the bite, the effects start to wear off in the case that the blood affected the stats in any way.
- Animal blood: Stats are temporarily lowered by 2 pts per stat.
- Human blood: No change.
- Werewolf blood: Enhanced by 2 pts per stat
- Wizarding blood: Enhanced by 4 pts per stat
- Siren blood: Enhanced by 6 pts per stat
- Borea blood: Enhanced by 8 pts per stat
- Faerie blood: Enhanced by 10 pts per stat
**The Transformation
Vampires emit a venom from their fangs and it is this venom that acts as a poison. If it mixes into the blood-stream of another creature (except werewolves, as the venom of a vampire is a poison to them. Sure to kill them) then it will begin to change their entire DNA. Because of this, it is an extremely painful process. The person bitten will feel like their body is on fire due to all the bonds of DNA breaking and reforming.[/blockquote]
This process will last for a week. During this week, the person is still concious. However, whether sane enough to process anything other than the intense pain is something different entirely.
After 168 hours, the heartbeat will stop. Though there is only a 50% chance that the person has survived the transformation. After their heart stops beating, whether the person will have become a vampire or not is a game of chance. The transformation is just as likely to kill the person as it is to turn them.
