Daj was in the library, busy looking up at old spells, curses and hexes he needed for class and some for personal use. He was surrounded by five or six books, all open on different pages. He was trying to catch up with all the homework since he needed to skip his classes to keep an eye on Pandora and his eldest sister. Things were not really getting any complicated but in between meeting up with Maggie, homework, quizzes, exams, spying, and gym, Daj was nearly burning out.
Now he had to fixed the assignment for Liam Redferne or Daj was going to have a bad grade and since he came from a better school, he wasn't supposed to have bad grades. He sighed, so much for being smart. If he only knew how to multiply himself into two, maybe he could deal with everything better than how he is dealing with the situation now. Daj was nearly finished with his Transfiguration homework when someone came, slammed a book down on the table which caused his papers to scatter over the table. He looked up and saw it was Pandora with a smirk on her face. And the last part didn't surprise Daj at all. He knew she was going to find out sooner or later and he was glad that she finally did. He smirked back at her as he took his wand, murmuring a summoning charm making his papers come back and stack neatly into a pile.
”Pandora, lovely seeing you here. And you finally found out then. No surprised there. And little? What part of me is little, Pandora?”
he said as he shifted in his seat to face her. There was little that Daj found annoying. Living with Esta his whole life made everything else bearable. Though he respected his sister, it didn't mean he didn't have his moments where he wanted to hex her for being annoying and overbearing. God, this man annoyed her. His smirk just made her want to punch him. In fact, her hands curled themselves into fists but she stopped herself. No. She'd hit him when they weren't in a place full of people. She didn't want to get a detention for getting into a fight. That she would win. Pandora may not be the strongest of witches but she was strong when it came to non-magical fighting. You couldn't see it when you looked at the witch but she could fight. Years of dance had made her pretty strong and extremely agile and quick on her feet. She could put up a bloody good fight.
But she should stop thinking about that. It would just make her crave the violence. He stacked his papers magically and Pan's smirk actually widened. She could have done the 'concalo' charm both wordless and wandless. Her charms knowledge was good. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't far off. At his words she rolled her eyes. And then she laughed at his question. "Of course I found out. Did you really think you could keep that piece of information from me? I'm a Hearth. You can't keep things from us" she put emphasis on her name. Her name. Not his. Not Arcanum. No, she wasn't one of them. She didn't want to, couldn't, be one of them. Not ever.
Tossing her hair away from her face, when he faced her she decided to actually answer his question. "Let's see. Your skill? I bet that's small. Yes. I'm probably stronger than you, then again, it doesn't look like that'll be a hard thing to achieve" she told him. A sarcastic smile forming on her lips. She understood that the Arcanum family were meant to be pretty powerful, but she wasn't weak. And she would take great pleasure in beating her Uncle. She needed a her revenge anyway. He had lied to her. And she would get him back for that. The witch didn't care if people insulted her. But if they dared lie to her - she would kill them.

Daj kept his smirk and looked at her directly. He didn't want trouble and he certainly didn't want to have to hit a girl, his own niece. Even if it was obvious that she didn't think she was an Arcanum. He had better things to do that argue with someone like her. Daj didn't come to Northvale to argue with her. He didn't even want to be in the same room as her let alone be within the same area as her.
”Well, it seems that your tongue lashing has yet to cease. I'm not surprised that you found out. But I don't really care if you do. I was hoping you would really. However, if you think that I came here to make your life miserable, then I must tell you that your gravely mistaken. I did not come here to pick idle fights with a child who belongs to my own sister. If you want to pick a fight, go and ambush Esta. It her who you really want to get back at anyway.”
Daj said as he looked down at his notes once again. This was already tiring and it hasn't even really began.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit ▬▬▬▬▬Clicky! Notes ▬▬▬▬▬ So Now You Know.. So??? When he was speaking the urge to kill the man just grew and grew. She wouldn't kill him, because she didn't want to end up in prison. It wasn't that the whole murder thing was wrong. Fuck no. The guy was lucky she had been trained to control her shield. Because if she hadn't? Well, she probably would have felt it right now. Building up, ready to crush the guy in front of her. It was obvious he didn't want to fight. But the guy was seriously irritating her. And then he said it. A word that she hadn't been called for a very long time. A child. She lost it. "A child? I'm probably fucking older than you are, Dylan" she hissed out, that anger burning inside her "Do not, ever, call me a child"
The boy looked down at his notes and she tried to regain a little composure. Yes. She did want to kill Esta. The woman was on her kill list, that was for sure. But this guy also was pissing her off. And, well, pissing of her, Pandora Evelyn Hearth, was probably one of the biggest mistakes a person could make. It took a bloody long time to get back in her good books if you did something to hurt her or anyone she liked. And if she happened not to trust you? Well, it was very unlikely she would grow to. Pandora always trusted her instincts. And when she looked at this guy? They screamed at her that he wasn't one to be trusted. So she would listen. "My fight may be with Esta, Dylan, but I still have one to pick with you. You kept the truth from me, and that was out of line she spoke, her words still like ice.

Daj sighed. Though he didn't want a run in with his niece, knowing that she was seething with anger was a sure sign that Daj was in for a stretchy Pan time. ”Will apologizing make my case any better? I didn't tell you the whole truth because I was in no position to do so. I didn't tell you that I was an Arcanum because I know that it would only make you assume that, I, a member of the Arcanum family who had a hand in your mother's... delay, will only cause you immediate anger. And alright, you are not a child. But against Esta, you probably might be.”
he said, hoping that she would just quiet. But he had a feeling that it was in vein.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit ▬▬▬▬▬Clicky! Notes ▬▬▬▬▬ So Now You Know.. So??? Cold, perriwinkle blue eyes watched their Uncle as he spoke. Explained himself. She listened, of course she did. Pandora may have felt hatred toward this man but she was fair enough to listen to his side of the story. It was a shame that this young witch found his response to be inadequate. But. She calmed the rage inside her veins. Slowly, she pulled out one of the chairs around the table and sat. Her eyes never leaving her Uncle. She could, she would, settle this like an adult. For now that is. Though. Of course. It is a lot easier to reach for the wand in your boot when you're sitting down.
Taking a few calming breaths, the witch spoke. "Of course it would cause me anger, if I heard the name Arcanum" her voice was calm as she spoke, but it was deadly. The deliberate slowness and careful pronunciation of her words hinting at how easily it would be for the witch to snap. "I had to watch my father fall to pieces when my mother left. And it was your family that destroyed his hope. In love. And in life. The thing is, Dylan, I don't forgive easily - in fact - I don't really forgive at all. And knowing it was your family that all but destroyed my father? Well. Of course I am angry. In fact. I'm murderous." The witch's gaze turned even colder, almost like ice.
And Esta would think she was a child? Pandora laughed internally. The witch had her secret weapon. Esta wouldn't stand a chance if Pandora really wanted to end her life. How lucky that woman was that Pandora didn't. Not yet. She would give the woman a chance. One chance. To prove herself. But if the woman made one wrong move then Pandora would never forgive her. Ever. And she would seek her revenge on what she had done to her family. That is what angered the young witch the most. You can mess with her all you want. Touch her family? She will kill you.

Daj watched as Pandora took a seat. He inwardly sighed. This was not going to end anytime soon. He already had thought about it but this was just telling him that he was right. ”I have watched my father and mother crumble everyday as well. I was a bit young but I knew it had something to do with Celeste. When I grew older, I would watch my father sit by the down, waiting for your mother to return. He never had the courage to seek her out. I do not know why and I never asked. I was not given the chance because, from what Ivory had told me, Esta had taken Celeste's role as eldest. When father died, Esta had succeeded into bringing your mother home. But it was a trap. I and Ivory were bound by Esta to not speak a word to Celeste of what we know or what we even thought Esta would do.”
Daj said as he closed his books and his notes in order to face Pandora. ”I do not expect to be forgiven at all. I knew that lying to you would only cause ill to my person but I had to because, like I said, it was not my place to tell you. I have managed to move far enough from Esta's reach which is why I am telling you all this now. I do not care what you do to her. I just ask you to spare Ivory and mother. Kill Esta for what see had done to you. I will not stop you nor will inform her at all. What my sister did was unforgivable: destroying a family just because she wanted revenge. I will warn you though, I will not doubt you have something in store for Esta, but do not underestimate her. She will not play fair and will do everything to destroy you. And everything you hold dear.” Daj said as he looked straight at Pandora, showing no emotion but apathy. He didn't care what would happen to Esta. He had his own problems to deal with.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit ▬▬▬▬▬Clicky! Notes ▬▬▬▬▬ So Now You Know.. So??? What was this? A competition? Who had the suckier life? Which party came off worse by the same person? Pandora found herself gritting her teeth. Did it really matter that he'd watched his parents crumble? At least he had had his parents. And at the anecdote of how his father had waited for her mother to return.. The witch was angry. The story was familiar. Oh so familiar. She herself, at fourteen years old, had done the same. Staring out of her bedroom window for days on end. Watching. Waiting. Praying her mother would return. And as the pain in her chest numbed she had felt guilt. Why was she healing when her father was still trapped in a state of melancholy? So. She had taken to causing herself pain. Running a blade across her wrists. She regretted it now. Of course she did. If you looked close enough, the faint scars were still there.
Breaking out of her dark thoughts on her childhood, she listened further to Dylan. Esta had trapped her mother. Yes. But how much control could one woman have over a family? Surely if Dylan and this Ivory - who Pandora guessed was his sister and, therefore, her aunt - stood up to Esta together they would have freed her mother. Celeste could have come back home; her father and herself would have been happy again. But no. They hadn't. They had let Esta win. They were weak. It just goes to show - your name may hold power but it did not mean that your spirit did.
It angered Pandora even further to how Dylan spoke of Esta. As much as she detested the witch, to hear the woman's brother speak like this? It sickened her. Family stuck together. Pandora would never, ever allow someone to harm her family members. Whatever even possessed this boy to actually tell her that he almost gave his blessing for her to kill his sister. One of his kin. A member of his family. How it angered the witch. As her hand went to grasp her wand she realised she had to leave. Before she did something stupid.
Pushing her chair backwards, the wood scraping against the floor, she stood. No longer did she want to see the boy. Let alone be in his presence. "You sicken me, Dylan. Maybe you should add a book of family values to your studies. Never would I allow someone to murder one of my family members. No matter what they had done to irritate me over the years. At the end of the day, Dylan, family is family. They are the ones who will stick by you, no matter what. They will always welcome you with open arms. And to allow someonw to kill one of your kin so freely? I cannot bear the thought that we are even related. Good day to you, Dylan, I pray your studying goes well" and with those words she turned and left. Needing to get away, before she did something she'd regret.
