Samson Hannibal Corvus
Hey, my name is... Samson Hannibal Corvus
But most call me... Sam, Sammie, Samsi, Frenchy
If you want to, you can label me... heterosexual
I've been on this earth for... 187
Which means I was born... August 2nd
I was bitten... at the age of 27
I'm a... teacher
And only a... Vampire Management teacher
My eyes are... blue
And my hair is... dark brown
One could say... I stand strongly at 6’0, I am lean with broad shoulders and a strong jaw. His hair can vary from a dark brown in summer’s sunlight to ebony black in winter’s daylight. My eyes are a dark captivating steel blue that can often be seen with a flicker of amusement and someone once noted that they had an underlying faint look of a lonely man...my neutral expression is either blank, serious or with as slight amused and knowing crooked grin that gives off the impression that I keeping a hold onto a delicious secret. Any smile of mine usually makes the scar on his cheek that he received from a dog attack when I was younger more noticeable.
I'm normally seen wearing... smart casual clothing.
And I supposedly look like... Gaspard Ulliel
All round, I'm... Samson is not hard to miss when he wants you to spot him, but knows how to blend into the background and becomes all but invisible. He's cautious and weary around others and doesn’t trust easily because he sees it as a dangerous thing to do. Despite this however he is very charismatic and can fool you into believing he trusts you but his guard is always up, also, you shouldn’t believe everything you here from his mouth because he often lies.
He's very intelligent, insightful, intuitive, observant and cautious but he knows how to have fun and loves to have a laugh with people- he has a very good sense of humour, though his can be dry, involving sarcasm, timing and wit. He can also be very flirtatious and charming even when in a dangerous situation.
Samson is the kind of guy who’s very confident and doesn’t try to be someone or something he’s not. He’s the kind of person that holds fast to his beliefs and his strong-willed nature means that he’s not swayed lightly or easily broken.
Usually, Samson is calm, laid back and somewhat easy going guy. He’s not easily pissed off but one thing that can guarantee to anger the male is if someone he really cares about is harmed whether physically, emotionally or mentally- this is the one thing that can make him lost his mind. He’s protective, but not to the point of possessive and controlling, he lets the people he cares about make their own decisions and their own mistakes and he’ll always be there to catch them if they fall or fail.
I'm in love with... astronomy (he enjoys stargazing), reading, art, having fun, cats, poetry, challenges, music, play-fighting and banter.
Though I detest... ignorance, arrogance, naivety, feeling vulnerable, discrimination, unjust cruelty, unnecessary violence and losing my temper.
But my best assets are... my self-control, intelligence, intuition and I'm cautious and quick-minded.
However my worst... I don't trust easily, can be unforgiving and although I pretend otherwise, I find it hard to let go of things.
And I dream of... to finally, fully, get over/move on from the past so that I don't have live in an eternity of regret on things that I can no longer change.
My life story... Samson was born to the somewhat wealthy Adélaïde and Raphael Corvus in France on August 2nd 1826. He was their beautiful dark haired, blue eyed baby boy and they had pictured a bright future for him. He had a pleasant upbringing and actually quite enjoyed ‘helping’ out on the fields (although just being a young lad he couldn’t do much).
When he was just a young lad, no older than the age of eight years old, his mother started showing signs of Comsumption but everyone was blissfully unaware. It was also at this age was he and his parents invited around to their closest neighbours; the Whithams, for a dinner party.
That was when he first met Cressida Primrose Whitham. He was two years her senior making her, in his eyes, just an annoying little six year old girl but he seemed to get along famously with her older brother, Marius who was two years older than Samson.
From that day onward, Samson and Marius seemed to continue with their friendship that was formed on that first day, often just spending time and being silly boys just having fun. However, little Cressida, wanting to be involved with the boy’s fun and games, started to tag along and it wasn’t long before Samson actually started to warm to the girl- seeing that she was sweet and kind-hearted.
He grew closer to Cressida over the years and sometimes even went out to play in the fields just with her. It was when she was twelve and he was fourteen- it late winter/early spring- did she finally reveal her family’s secret; out from beneath the frosty ground she helped the first daffodil of spring on the borderline of their family’s land, sprout. It was a beautiful sight, seeing the little daffodil slowly grow and bloom into a beautiful yellow headed specimen and Samson knew he’d never forget that memory.
When he was thirteen he found himself feeling very affectionate towards Cressida and developed a fancying towards her and neither had to tell each other that the feeling was returned. They were young, and Samson seemed to fall hard and fast for /his/ Daffodil but two years passed, and at the age of seventeen they had to part when the Whitham family moved abroad to England. It was a tough parting but Samson hugged and wiped away Cressida’s tears and they swore they’d write to each other every week.
It was only when she left did Samson realize that he was in love with her.
A year passed, two- with many visits to England to see Cressida. Then, one day, he received a letter that actually made something inside of him the fall. She spoke about a new man- Adam Locklear-in her life that had caught her fancy and who had taken interest in her and after four years, the pair married. Married. Samson attended the wedding although it broke his heart. He knew he had missed his chance and now, they have to live their own, separate lives.
Samson at the age of twenty three found himself marrying a local girl because it was as expected from him. She was kind-hearted pale faced beauty named Adeline who was only eighteen at the time of their marriage. Adeline was nice and he was very fond of her but he didn’t love her. Their marriage was more like a close friendship and Samson still occasionally visited Cressida, sometimes alone and occasionally with Adeline.
The day Consumption took the life of Adeline at the young age of twenty, Samson did mourn her death and visited her grave often to lay a fresh bouquet of flowers on her grave.
When Adeline died, he visited Cressida more but one day when he stopped by her grand house, he was informed by her husband Adam that she wasn’t in. This was the first time Samson had met face to face alone and from the beginning Samson felt the hostility the emanated from the man and it wasn’t long before the threats started spewing from her beloved husband’s mouth. The man didn’t like how often Samson saw his wife and the closeness of the pair and he began to grow increasingly violent to the point that he lashed out at Samson with inhuman strength, Samson fought back and put up a decent fight but Adam…Adam was impossibly strong, fast and agile and when the man sank his teeth into Samson and Samson felt the slow pull on his skin and his life fading before his eyes he honestly thought he was going to die.
However, he awoke abruptly breathing in dirt. Unable to breathe properly and in agonising pain. He felt like every bone in his body had been broken and what he didn’t know at the time was that he was going through his transition. Because Adam Locklear was a vampire.
When the transition was complete, Samson crawled and dug himself out of the unmarked grave that was dug for him. Gasping for breath and a horrible feeling of absolute hunger.
He walked off, in a daze, so hungry…starving and when he came across a local farmer…the sound of the man’s pulse…the smell…he found his mouth watering, stomach clenching from a need…and before he knew it he was draining the man’s body of it’s blood.
This first kill freaked him out and the newly made vampire, disappeared from /anyone’s/ sighting.
Two years later, he remerged and he had a need to find the man that ended his mortal life. The monster who was married to Cressida. He returned to England and was passing through the local town that was closest to Cressida’s home when he saw the man. Adam Locklear. And the thing that made Samson freeze? The man had another woman on his arm. No, she was all over him. Just out on the street outside a Tavern as if it was nothing. As if he didn’t have a wonderful, beautiful wife waiting for him at home.
The need to see Cressida then, the little Daffodil girl. So he went to her home.
When he saw her again, he couldn’t help but smile but then he saw it. The bruise on her face. Concerned, he questioned her and soon found out that it was her own husband that had beat her. Samson and Cressida fought over it and during their argument he told her how she deserved so much better, so much more than Adam or even Samson and had to tell her about the whore Samson saw Adam with.
The look on her face…the light in her eyes diminishing…it broke his heart and the idea that her husband that should’ve made her smile that beautiful, radiant smile of hers didn’t love and treat her as she deserved to be…it made Samson fill with a deadly rage.
Cressida demanded he leave and respecting her wishes, he did.
Samson left but he knew Cressida was going to need someone to look after her, especially since he couldn’t…so Samson found Marius, Cressida’s brother, and told him about what had happened knowing that her brother would care and look after her.
Then, Samson and Marius together went after Adam and rid the world of the fucking monster and after Samson disappeared and spent his life wandering, getting a firm grasps and control of his vampire tendencies and lived life doing things that many people only dreamt of doing. He lived his life, day by day, enjoying what the world had to offer.
He never forgot Cressida…how could he? And he didn’t think he really fell out of love with her either, instead, his feelings for her were put away inside a box he thought he’d never touch again.
Now, Samson has recently taken up the open position of Vampire Management teacher at Northvale Academy. To teach younger vampires to have more control over their instincts.
