Brent chuckled softly, feeling Chase's soft kisses on his jaw, cheek, nose and then his lips. He returned the fae's smile automatically; it was contagious, really. Brent was vaguely aware that they were in his classroom so this wasn't the wisest of ideas but that didn't matter too much, did it? "Deal." he whispered. Chase's lips were so close to his that Brent couldn't be blamed for closing the small distance between them and wrapping his arms tighter around the boy's waist so they were closer than before.

Chase smiled a bit when Brent leaned in and kissed him again. Yeah, there was no way Chase was going to be mad about that because he loved kissing Brent and would spend most of his time kissing Brent if he had any choice in the matter. Normally it wasn't good to go around lip locked with a teacher all the time... so he tended to think it would be better if they didn't. This was acceptable though, right? This was Brent's classroom and he wouldn't have kissed chase like this if there was a class coming in or something. Right? Right. Brent pulled Chase in closer and Chase deepened their kiss, sliding his tongue along Brent's lower lip.

Okay, so even if there shouldn't be anyone that was going to barge in, there were windows that people could maybe see through. However, there were also half-closed blinds and he didn't think people were going to spend their lives staring through his classroom window. Unless they were stalkers - and Brent thought that would be kind of understandable if they were because who wouldn't want to stalk someone as gorgeous as he was? He parted his lips against Chase's then took a small step backwards to lean against the wall and window which, again, wasn't the best of ideas but he didn't care right at this moment.

Many thoughts were plaguing the vampires mind. She sat in her office. Trying to sort through the never-decreasing stack of paperwork but her mind was elsewhere. On a factor she did not like but had been ignoring. Her rule? Ignore her senses. Even though they could tell her exactly who a person had hugged two weeks ago she was turning a blind eye. Just as long as she never saw anything. Even how hard it was for her to ignore the rules. She'd do it for that thing illogical people called 'love'. It was something she'd never felt. Something she never wanted to feel. And then her eye glanced to the next sheet of paper on her stack. There had been a couple of minor changes with the dates of the business exam in a few months.

Standing, she began to stride toward the business room and inform the teacher. The vampire was also extremely happy to be out of the confinement of her office. It felt as if the walls were starting to close in on her. Sometimes she regretted this position. But if she didn't constantly have something to do, Themis would go crazy. Yes, she was a workaholic. Every moment of her day was spent working. Keeping this school running.

Reaching the business room, she was so lost in her thoughts that she couldn't register what her senses were picking up. The sound of kissing. Of a body being pressed against the wall. If she had registered this? Themis would have walked away. But. As she turned the handle to the door of the classroom and stepped inside.. Her eyes looked to see what she had been avoiding for so long. Brent McKinney and Chase Jackson. The vampire cleared her throat. "Mr McKinney, I think we ought to have a talk. Mr Jackson, you may go" her voice was calm and collected. Her face impassive. Even if she felt very differently on the inside.

What did she feel? A slight sense of what? Guilt? Pity? But there was nothing she could do. She had seen it now. Her one vow to herself. To keep acting naïve to it all. Until she saw it. But there was no denying it now. No turning a blind eye. She would have to give Mr Jackson his first strike. She allowed three before exclusion. But Mr McKinney? This was something she could not just give a warning for. She sighed, ever so slightly. It was always a shame to lose a member of staff.

Chase had always heard of those moments that make time stop. That makes your heart skip a beat or two and you kind of just wish you were completely invisible to the world. Yeah... Chase felt like that when Themis came in and saw them kissing like they were. Chase was positive his cheeks were burning red and he pulled away from Brent because that was what needed to happen. Chase looked between Brent and Themis for a few seconds, debating if he should actually leave but figuring it might just cause more complication if he did stay. He looked at Brent once more and gave him an apologetic look. "I'll talk to you later..."

Brent obviously wasn't expecting the random appearance of Northvale's governess at all. She had to pick the most unfortunate timing, didn't she? The hybrid wasn't that surprised though because it wasn't as if he'd ever been the luckiest of people. This wasn't the end of the world anyway; everything would be fine in the end. Brent let Chase go without making a fuss, as much as he wanted to. He knew that best thing to do was just to get this 'talk' over and done with.

He smiled a little at Chase, clearly not angry or worried or anything that your average person that reckoned they were about to lose their job would feel. "'Kay, see yah." he nodded. Brent wanted to tell Chase that he shouldn't be sorry because he wasn't bothered but he had enough sense in him to realise that this wasn't the right time to do so.

Once Chase had left and Brent was left alone with Sicarus, he looked at the vampire expectantly as he waited for her to speak. He stayed where he had been previously, leaning against the wall, and folded his arms over his chest. "So I guess this is the part where I lose my job?" he blurted out, not meaning to exactly and sounding almost hopeful even though he knew he shouldn't. The problem of having nowhere else to stay in Northvale didn't exist any longer since his friend Robert had decided to live here. So, honestly, he would be glad to see the back of this school. He could totally get a classier, more Brent-like job with these good looks, couldn't he?
