Brent mostly found Chase half hiding behind him sort of cute but he knew that he probably shouldn't because it couldn't exactly feel nice to be all awkward and uncomfortable. He gave his boyfriend a reassuring smile and let him carry on clinging to his arm. Directing his attention towards the woman behind the counter, Brent told her, "Two tickets for the Gatsby thing." Although he couldn't remember the name of the film, she obviously understood because soon Brent had the tickets and lead Chase away from their previous space at the front of the queue. "You want food or drink or something?"

Chase was happy Brent didn't seem to mind he had forced the talking onto Brent. Yeah... Chase thought that Brent should maybe get used to it because he had a problem talking to people. He followed Brent after the tickets were gotten and kept holding onto his arm, trying not to look at the other people around. "Sure. A drink would be good. But we're eating after so we can't load up on popcorn during the movie."

[/b] Chase told him with a smile before seeing someone looking at them. Chase didn't know the person nor had he ever seen them around. But he still looked away quickly, his smile fading slightly.

Drinks. Right. Actually, he didn't think there was anything here that he would like to eat or drink because he was Brent and was a picky turdbrain that needed to grow up. He noticed Chase looking away from something and glanced around to see that someone did seem to be peering curiously over in the their direction although he wasn't sure if the guy was looking specifically at the two of them or not. It didn't matter because he soon walked off when Brent sent the McKinney Glare of Death and Destruction in his direction. Yes, Brent had learnt it from his father and named it when he was about eight or something; even his mother had been pretty good at it. He looked back at Chase, his smile returning. "So, what d'you want?"

Chase saw that look Brent gave the guy that was looking at them. He couldn't help but think that might have been a bit mean, and yet Chase was pretty sure he loved that Brent would do things like that for him. He smiled back at him and kissed his cheek. "Just a coke or something. I'm not picky."

[/b] Chase told him as he resisted the urge to look around them again. He knew he would find one guy that was sort of looking at them and Chase would just rather not care. Brent was who he was going to be focused on the rest of the night.

Brent never had to really go out of his way to glare at someone, it was something that came naturally to him. Like... music. It was weird how they were the only two things that he was actually any good at and enjoyed doing. Yes, glaring was enjoyable. He liked it when he was able to successfully intimidate people, despite his not so scary physical appearance.

He kept smiling when Chase kissed his cheek and then nodded over the counter, which unfortunately had a large queue in front of it. Brent had a plan though. "Alright. I'll be back in a second." he smirked, leaving Chase behind as he rushed towards the line of people. There seemed to be some children's movie afternoon or something as the majority of people there were parents (most of them mothers) with their kids. He sent the best friendlily apologetic smile in their direction. "Hey, you don't mind if I cut in do you? Just need to grab a bottle of coke for my daughter - she won't stop complaining that she's thirsty and it's kinda interrupting everyone that's trying to watch the film." he sighed and rolled his in fond sort of way, laughing a little too because he thought that might me him seem more convincing. It worked though. Brent was desperately trying not to laugh as he very quickly purchased the drink and headed back to Chase, dragging him towards the cinema screen they were meant to be in.

When they were out of sight, he began giggling, sort of unable to believe what an arse he'd just been even if he'd done similar things in the past to avoid long queues. God, he was terrible. Once he'd calmed himself somewhat, Brent handed over the Coke to Chase with a grin. "I regret nothing."

Chase let Brent run off to the counter and get the coke. He had never done this before. The date thing, that is. But he was pretty sure it was going amazingly. He wasn't too far away from Brent when he left Chase, so needless to say he heard the entire thing. When Brent came back over to him he didn't have time to say anything before Brent pulled him away.

When they stopped Chase couldn't help but laugh with him. "You're horrrible!!" Chase told him but laughed anyways. He couldn't deny that was funny even if it was completely wrong and a lie.

Maybe Brent secretly had to agree with Chase on that one. Making up stupid lies to cut queues full of mothers and their little children was kind of a thing that only horrible people tended to do. Or impatient people. Or horrible, impatient people such as Brent that were never going to admit how horrible they could be out loud. He pretended to look offended, placing a hand on his chest. "Who, me?" Brent asked incredulously, obviously not being too serious here. "Nah, honey, I'm an angel."

Chase laughed and smiled at Brent when he said he was an angel. Brent was no where near an angel, but he did look pretty heavenly. Chase put his arms around Brent's neck and leaned up to kiss him quickly. Smiling as he did so. "If you say so."

"Now let's go watch the movie before the lady comes over and expects to see your daughter because I might be feminine but I don't think I'd be passed off as a girl."[/b]

Brent had to fight the urge to start giggling again once Chase had kissed him because he was apparently his daughter and, yeah, that was an amusing thought. "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure of that if I were you, Chay." Brent couldn't really help himself from saying. He was such a charmer, seriously. How did he end up with a boyfriend again? "You're right though. Women are scary when they're mad." He grimaced slightly. He'd learnt that from experience. So, the hybrid grabbed onto Chase's hand a pulled him inside the theatre.

Chase gave Brent a pout when he hinted that Chase was maybe feminine enough to pass off as a girl. Chase even gave Brent a small slap to his stomach area before he was dragged away because angry women were scary, apparently. Chase wouldn't know because he was pretty sure he hadn't come across an angry women. He let Brent pull him though, holding on tightly to his hand as they entered the movie theater. When they were in, it was Chase's turn to pull Brent all the way up to the top so they could sit in the back. There weren't that many people in the theater. That was nice, at least.
