Pandora was bored. Ultimately bored. She had her iPod plugged in, blaring out the gorgeous sounds of One Republic. The witch may look like the rocker type, and she was, but she was partial to the sounds of the cello from the band. The halls were empty and as she walked, she moved slightly, almost dancing. Almost. But then she began to feel it. The music ran through her. She heard the beat. The beautiful melody from the cello. Sighing a little, she kept walking and then found herself walking into the dance studio. The place was empty. Thank God. She took out her iPod and plugged it into the iPod dock. As she took a few steps, the song that was sounding through the speakers ended. But then, a new one started. One she adored. One that she could always dance to.
Secrets.
Kicking off her heels, as the cello started, she began to move. The verse was soft, fluid and her dancing reflected it. Slow movements, extended gestures, large, graceful steps. But then the chorus came. Instantly she moved quicker. Twirling, her whole body moving so elegantly, so perfectly, something that only came from an experienced dancer. Her hand skimmed the floor as she managed to bend her torso down and she spun slightly. But, from that movement she instantly jumped onto her left foot, moving once again. At the next verse, her movements were less extravagant but still kept the fast tempo. She was moving in perfect time to the cello.
It had been a long time since she'd danced but.. She was happy. Oh so happy. And, she could let herself go. Incorporating both the techniques she learnt from contemporary dance and ballet into her movements. The chorus came again and she was grinning as she danced now. And the bridge... That beatiful violin solo.. As it played, she was on her toes and very much incorporated her ballet knowledge into the movements. As the solo ended, she opened her mouth and sung as she danced. "Got no reason, got no shame, got no family, I can blame.. Just don't let me disappear, I'mma tell you everything.." and then she couldn't help but to sing the chorus "So tell me what you want to hear, something that'll light those years. I'm sick of all the insincere, so I'm gonna give all my secrets away. This time, don't need another perfect line, don't care if critics ever jump in line, I'm gonna give all my secrets away".
She kept on singing as the chorus continued, repeating. Her dancing still at a fast tempo, but incredibly elegant at the same time. Then it dawned on her. Just how much she had missed this. Maybe she would dance more. She didn't know. But for now, she focused on the present. Focused on the song that was coming from the speakers. The song began to end. Her movements never slowed, but she sung with more heart. More passion. Repeating that line that really meant something to her. At the final line, she ended with a jump, a twirl, and then held her balance perfectly on one foot. "All my secret away.." The song ended. And she stayed there. Her breathing laboured. Her heart was pounding. But she was grinning. Slowly, she placed her other foot onto the ground. It had been too long since she had done that.

It'd been a long, hard week. And now, the weekend was finally here. It might have been ending again the very next day, but it was here all the same. And Natesa couldn't have been more thankful, really. She needed to relax, to unwind, to calm down a bit. She was getting too het up about what was going on in her life. In her defence, though... it was a lot. A lot to take in, a lot to deal with. Just a lot. Her emotions were all over the place - and she just didn't know what to do. It was a good thing she didn't have to leave her dorm on the weekends if she didn't want to.
However, she felt like she needed to get out, even if it was only for a bit. It wasn't like she couldn't stay in bed any of the other weekends, anyway. But, this time, she felt like she needed to leave her dorm room. She didn't even need to talk to anyone. Well, there were a few people she needed to talk to, Kit included, but that could wait until a weekday, couldn't it? She didn't want to right now. It felt like she was going to mess everything up like she was going to just die. Which, actually, was preferable to messing everything up. She'd thought about it sometimes. But never actually carried it out. She couldn't ever bring herself to go past thoughts.
She made her way to the dance hall, slowly pushing open the door just as a song ended. At that was when she saw the girl, the tall, blond girl. Her heart did a little terrified leap in her chest until she realised it was only Pan, one of the few people that Natesa had actually learned to trust to a certain extent. She relaxed, and went into the room, kicking off her blue converse and grinning at her friend. G-Good song, th-that is." she said bashfully, grinning over at her companion. "I d-didn't know you liked OneRepublic."

She was staring at her reflection in the mirror. Not out of vanity, but in shock. Shock from seeing that smile on her face. A sparkle in her eyes. The realisation only made her smile widen. Tossing her white hair away from her face she noticed a flash of blue. The witch jumped out of her skin at the voice. She turned instantly to see the familiar mixed race. Natesa. The witch relaxed almost instantly. The smile was back on her face. A soft laugh left her lips at the statement. Yes. She didn't look like the girl who'd like One Republic but.. there was more to Pan that met the eye. On a rare day, you might even find her listening to classical.
"Secrets? Wonderful song. I prefer All Fall Down but that was just a little too depressing for my mood. And who couldn't like One Republic? Come on Nat, they're epic" she told her friend, laughing again. She had noticed Nat had kicked off her converse so Pan gave a little smirk. Walking over to the iPod dock, she went through the tracks. Hmm. What would work? She kept on flicking through the songs. Man, she had too many. But then a certain track caught her eye. A certain track from her favourite musical. Known as The Nightmare Before Christmas. The song? This is Halloween. With a chuckle escaping her lips, she pressed play.
Standing up again, she walked back to the centre of the room. She grinned at Natesa. "Fits for Northvale doesn't it? I'm pretty sure it's this places unofficial anthem. And, God, it is just amazing to dance to. I choreographed a whole ballet piece to this song when I was thirteen. We all wore dark make-up, gothic dress.."
Pan let out another laugh. At the time it had been so weird for her. All the black, lace, and generally dark costume. And at the time? She thought the small amount of dark eye-shadow was too much. If only she could go back and see her past self now. That child had picked the song choice because she had felt like a freak. Powers. Magic. It had belonged it stories, not her life. And now? She was in Halloween. Probably the greatest place she'd ever been. "What me to teach you a bit? I think you'll put it to better use than I will" Pan asked. She'd love to go back to teaching her choreography. She loved it.

Being able to smell fear, although the hybrid hated it, was on occasion useful. She caught a little shot of it as the witch turned to face her. It wasn't the kind of fear that you felt when death was imminent, just the kind of fear when someone popped a balloon or something. Still, the knowledge that she'd made her friend feel any kind of fear both made her feel proud of herself (seeing as she was normally the one that was scared by people), and made her (predominantly) recoil with guilt. She hadn't meant to do that! That was horrible of her! She just stared at the girl, wide eyed, and with a little flap of her hands, she spoke. "Oh, g-goddess, sorry!" she exclaimed. "I... uh. W-Worst habit ever. T-T-Turning up wh-when you're not expected or w-wanted, that is." As depressing and pessimistic as that probably sounded.
OneRepublic were, indeed, and amazing band. Of course, Natesa was a bit of a mainstream fan, and loved Stop and Stare too much for her own good. But Secrets was an incredible song, so beautiful. All Fall Down was great, too. She just loved OneRepublic. But she liked Avril Lavigne better. She was finding creepy resemblance to herself in some of her songs, which sometimes made her wonder if Avril Lavigne was stalking her or something. Which then promptly caused her to internally fangirl at the idea of a rockstar following her around. But, wait, no. Bad. Distractions were bad. She needed to focus, or risk making herself look like a total idiot in front of her friend. But then, her friends were probably used to her idiocy by now.
"Y-Yeah," she agreed, after she came back from an alternate world where rockstars followed her around and where she wasn't an idiot. "C-Call me a bit mainstream, b-b-but I think Stop and S-Stare is my favourite. Just... y'know, b-because." Stop and Stare wasn't only a beautiful song, it was really good to dance to. And the guitar was easy enough, in the verses, for even her to play. Not too complex. Complexity ruined a lot of things. Like... lives, for instance. Something that Natesa was learning the hard way, thanks to her own stupid actions. Nothing new there then. Not really. Besides a whole new, terrifying aspect of life that she had to face; forming relationships with others.
Danny Elfman, the girl thought as the next song began, Is a freaking legend. A wide grin automatically spread over her face, her blue eyes eager. She hadn't danced to this song for so long; she'd even come up wit her own little routine. She couldn't really remeber it now, though, so the witch's invitation was well received. She nodded, pulling her blue hair onto a ponytail so that it wouldn't get in her face. "Sounds f-fun!" she said, bounding over to join her friend. This was going to be fun, she just knew it.
