[The Council]

Hey everyone (:

There's some going to be some new changes and additions that are going to be added to NVA in the near future and with some of them, we'd like to keep you all in the loop.
So without further adieu, take a look below.

New Rules

Yes, new rules.
The first is that we're putting a word minimum on the 'General Appearance' section of the app. It won't be much just at least 50 words.

The second is that it's come to our attention that there's quite a few student-teacher romantic relationships cropping up. Too many and not all are that subtle.
Although in our supernatural world student-teacher relationships are not exactly illegal they are still not allowed. Such relations must be subtle. The Governess, Themis Sicarus, has been turning a blind eye to current relationships because most have been subtle however when relationships are blatant and being all but flaunted right in front of her face she will have to get involved and this could lead to your character getting fired and possibly 'reported to the Council'.
With romantic student-teacher relationships students must not be given special treatment within school meaning; if late, they will still receive a detention. If they don't turn up to lessons, they will still receive a detention. Students will receive the marks they deserve and earned and are not to be given leeway in subjects. Students may not skip classes to spend time with the teacher they are with unless it's for honest reasons.

Because at the moment, there is far too many student-teacher relationships we are banning anymore. This will be strict. All current established relationships and ships are still allowed which should be the following: Liam Redferne and Pandora Hearth, Brent McKinney and Chase Jackson, Cain Redferne and Andrew Locke and Elijah Jacobs and Amaya Siriano.
If one these relationships are ended or no longer labelled 'student-teacher' they will be deleted from this small list but still no more relationships will be allowed. Our maximum will become two relationships.

At the end of the day you must bear in mind that this is a school and although our little Dramavale is full of drama and abnormal behavior, romantic student-teacher relationships are a different kind of 'not normal' especially in the amount that we currently have and we do not want to appear to be promoting such relationships.

The Prom

As all of you probably know already Northvale Academy is having it's first prom! This will be a site event and a sub-board in the Ballroom will be set up for the occasion.

A week before the prom nominations will be held for awards that will be presented 'on the night'. Voting will start three days before the event. We'd like to ask you all to vote in character. Meaning one vote per student character. Locals and teachers are not allowed to vote.

There will be two open threads for all characters. One for the beginning of the prom where all characters can interact within and one for the awards ceremony where the presenters will announce and hand out each award.

Canon Lists

A few of you know this already but the mod team have been working on some interesting canon lists which will hopefully bring some fun new sub-plot ideas to NVA. The lists will essentially be reasonably large and powerful families- one for each race- and will include our current families; The Redfernes (for Sorcerers), The Trudels (for Faeries), The Russus (for Siren) and The Trancy Pack (for Werewolves) as well as the introduction to two new families the mod team have created themselves; The Septentrios (for Boreai) and The Verdoux (for Vampires) - of which, will not be something you'll want to miss out on.

New Boards

Hopefully within the next couple of weeks some new boards we've had planned will be finally created. So keep a look out for:

• Future Board
  - realistically seeing as this is a real-time roleplay we might not get around to threading what happens with our characters in five or ten years time. The future board will be used to thread out anything you can't wait to happen or know you'll never really get around to threading because of time.-
  
• Elementary School
  - We have Elementary school positions open but unfortunately no board as of yet! This will be amended soon though hopefully. -
  
• Animal Shelter
  - Once again, we have positions open but no board but it's coming soon. -
  
• Places Abroad
  - Well, like us our characters are likely to go on holiday this summer so hopefully we'll get a board up with loads of different sub-boards of places your characters could travel to. -

Level Donations System!

Now, some adult characters will either be at the stage or one day reach the stage where you might decide their level will be frozen and they will no longer level up. Like for example; Sorcerers have a maximum level and not all will end up achieving the higher levels and even so, they will eventually stop leveling up.
But that kind of ruins the fun though, doesn't it? You're posts will no longer gather points that you can spend on your character.

Well, that's where this system will come in. You will be allowed to donate your level (and therefore, points) to other characters (they can be your own or maybe even belong to someone else). However you will only be able to donate to characters once every three levels the character achieves. So, if a character is at level 1 they may receive a level. When they reach level 4 they may receive another level but will not be able to receive another again to that character until they reach level 8.
This 'every three levels' system is to prevent people from relying on donations and keep people posting to gain levels.
