Braden lazily walked into the Courtyard with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, his handy backpack laying off one of his shoulders, and a smirk on his face. He was bored, yet he couldn't find any pirate to mess with, so he went to the courtyard to see if he could find one there. Luck was against him today, however, but he decided just to stay where he was because he was tired of walking. That was for sure. He took a deep breath and practically fell to the ground, holding his cigarette so he wouldn't choke while doing so, then putting it back in his mouth to take a drag. Life was boring.

It was crazy just how much blue the hybrid wore. Maybe it was because blue was the color of the sky, and that meant she could blend into her surroundings. Kind of. If she flew. Which was, strangely. what she was doing just then. She normally just walked around the school, but she found that being small, being part faerie, was a beautiful advantage. She was practically invisible this way, and that was how she liked it. She was too small for people to really pay attention to. And, besides, flying was faster than walking from place to place, even if she was partially a vampire.
At least, it should have been faster. Unfortunately for the fourth year, she didn't shift into this state enough for her to be proficient in flight. She'd seen the other faes, how they glided through the air with the same grace that a butterfly would possess. However, she flew more like a bee. That is, haphazardly and clumsily. Constantly bumping into things (and people) on her way, sometimes falling out of the air before picking herself back up just in the nick of time. This meant that getting from A to B took longer than it really should have. What with all the times she went in the wrong direction, or knocked into people and had to apologise.
That'd happened a lot today already, actually. She managed to get to the Courtyard without knocking into many people, which was good. But as kids went from one lesson to another (for Natesa, it was a free period), the crowds thickened a little, meaning that she'd had to go find branch to sit on until the Courtyard cleared again. Which, thankfully, didn't take long. The changeover period was five minutes, so most of the kids were gone after about two. All of them were definitely gone by the time four passed. So she was sat there for a maximum of five minutes, which wasn't so bad. No, not bad at all.
The Aussie carefully pushed herself off of the twig-like branch she was sat on, falling a few feet before her wings finally kicked in. Unfortunately, just then, the wind decided to start blowing crazily. And, as strong as she might have been, she didn't weigh much in this state. So, surprise surprise she ended up plummeting to the ground. But, when she expected to be greeted by the cold, hard ground, she actually found herself sprawled on a backpack. But she'd thought that everyone was gone?
Giving the air a light sniff to see if her senses could help her out here, she picked up a few very familiar smells. They were smells that she used to find suffocating and unpleasant, but were now quite soothing to her. First of all, the smell of weed. Because the pirates used that stuff, it'd become a sign that she wasn't too far from her friends. And, where there were drugs, there was bound to be a certain werewolf. Which happened to be the second scent that she picked up. Yes, it was Braden.
A smile pulled on her lips as she looked around for him, and she spotted him lying back back on the ground right next to where she was, a cigarette swinging from his lips. She shook her head fondly at him, and laughed a little. "Tsk tsk, Smokes," she teased, arranging her skirts around her so that she could sit properly and comfortably on his backpack. "That's bad for you, y'know." The way she said it made it clear that she knew he didn't give a shit. And honestly? Neither did she. If he wanted to smoke, she wasn't stopping him. She was just teasing him because she could/ That wasn't a crime, was it?

Braden jumped a bit when he heard someone call his nickname. He thought at first it might have been Jesse in his small form, but he looked around till he found Natesa in her smal form. Close enough! "Silly!" Braden practically yelled as he carefully picked up the small fae up and hugged her into his face. "I am so bored! Help me!" He told her, not paying attention to the comment about the cigarettes because there was no way he was going to stop that anytime soon. But, it worked out because he had just finished it and flicked it away as he held the small faery out in his palm.

Being picked up, although it was something that Natesa was trying to get used to, was still quite a disorienting experience. For one thing, the surface that she was stood on changed completely, from nylon to skin. Those were two very different things, with the latter being softer and harder to stand on. And, as you were lifted, the world whizzed past in so many different stripes of color. It was enough to make Natesa throw up, although she just about managed to hold down her breakfast. She didn't really want to embarrass herself any more than she did normally. If that was even possible.
As the werewolf hugged her to his face, she couldn't help but smile as she cuddled against his warm cheek. It was a cute, friendly gesture. Which kind of detracted from the indignance she felt at being called her nickname, at which she only frowned. "M' not Silly." she protested weakly, knowing that it would do little to change her friend's mind about it. Just because of... certain things that were happening in her life. But she knew, really, that she wasn't silly. She was just viewing things realistically, whereas everyone else was dreaming of things that were probably never going to happen.
Well, believe it or not, the hybrid wasn't exactly the life of the party. So, what Braden was trying to achieve by telling her that he was bored, she really didn't know. The best hing she could do was dance , and that was most definitely not happening. She was pretty sure that none of the pirates knew she danced, anyway. And she would prefer to keep it that way, just to avoid them going down to the dance hall whenever she was wanted or needed. She rolled her blue eyes, and shook her head at him, laughing a little. "Aaand you tell me this... because?" she queried, snickering as she sat down on the palm of her friend's hand. "Believe it or not, Bray, I'm not exactly the best cure for boredom."

Well. Okay. Braden knew that Natesa was never one that was lively or anything like that, but c'mon. She had to be able to keep him occupied for awhile. Braden got bored fairly easily when he wasn't high. Which was actually right now, strangely. He should fix that, but he didn't want to smoke alone, and he wasn't sure Natesa would smoke with him. He gave her his best werewolf puppy smile. "Smoke with me?"
He asked her, knowing that she would guess he didn't mean cigarettes because she was just that smart. "I can't find any of the pirates. I don't know where Spanks is, probably with his piratette. Kit is... somewhere. I haven't seen Jessie in a fortnight. And all the rest of them are just nowhere to be found. I really should get myself a piratette." Braden told her with a sigh, kind of hoping the sap story would work for her to smoke with him. It was weird, actually, how different everything looked when you were small. You could stand on people, and they wouldn't care. You could stand on people's things, and no one would give a shit. You could fly, and it was pretty much normal for everyone around you. It was only when Natesa looked at it from a human perspective that she realised just how odd it was. Not to mention the fact that you were in huge danger of being trodden on if you dared walk anywhere but a tabletop. You only made that mistake once, if you were stupid enough to make it at all. Which, of course, Natesa had. It was stupid, really, but that was all. It wasn't as if she actually remembered that people had big feet! She forgot! Not her fault. ... Okay. Yes it was.
But that was irrelevant. Because, if she'd heard the werewolf correctly, he'd asked her to smoke with him. And not just cigarettes, knowing him. No, he liked something with a bit more of a kick to it. Natesa wasn't really sure about using cannabis - wasn't that bad? Wouldn't they get into trouble if they were caught with drugs? ... But then, Braden walked around with a shit load of drugs in his backpack, anyway. It wasn't as if no one knew that it was him. Besides... with all that been going on lately... she felt like she needed to relax, to calm down. There was just too much getting her worked up. And it wasn't as if the weed would kill her.
"Sure. Why not." she said flippantly, arranging her skirts around her once more so that she was sat more comfortably. It wasn't as if Natesa smoked regularly - she didn't really like the taste much. But one time wouldn't hurt, right? Just to calm herself down? She did really need it. Not the drugs. She didn't need those. She just needed to take a break from all the stress. Was that so much to ask? She just needed to forget about what her life was becoming for a while.

Was he dreaming? Or was this actually happening. Natesa just said yes to smoking with him. Kit might end up killing him, but Adam would find this fucking hilarious. Might even be sad he wasn't here. He reached over and grabbed his backpack. Pulling out a cigarette pack and grabbing a joint he had hidden down inside of it. He looked at Natesa with a smile. "You sure? If you are, you gotta get big. Being small will make it happen even faster and harder."
He told her seriously. He felt like he was corrupting her or something. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit ------------ Clicky~Notes ------------ New coding! XDTagged ------------ Natty!Song ------------ Smile by McFly
Gosh, did Natesa really come across as innocent enough for Braden to ask if she was sure? She was seventeen, for crying out loud. Older than half of the Pirates. She was pretty sure that she could make her own decisions. And, even if she couldn't, screw it. She was going to. She was old enough to do that, at least. ... But then, Natesa had quite a young mind, because of how sheltered she'd been for the past ten years. She hadn't really grown up at all, because she didn't have any means or reason to until she came to Northvale. So what was the point in growing up if she didn't think she needed to do it?
Getting big took so much effort, though. Ugh. Well, not really effort, but... it wasn't the most pleasant feeling in the world. It didn't hurt any, but Natesa couldn't control the speed at which she grew. So, she always ended up growing too fast, and having to watch the world whiz past too quickly, meaning that she almost always ended up feeling nauseous. Which wasn't really fair, considering the fact that she was a vampire and vampires didn't normally get motion sickness. But then, she wasn't all vampire, was she? Anyway, what Braden was saying made sense. If she were small... oh gosh. She didn't even want to imagine what she would be like.
"I'm pretty sure I'm sure?" she laughed in response to the werewolf's question, nodding at his statement about her height and flitting down from off of his hand. The minute her feet made contact with the grass, she grew to her ordinary height, before sitting down opposite her friend so that she didn't fall over. Ugh, goddess, she hated that so much! But, really, she'd brought it on herself for shrinking in the first place. Even if it was a good way to avoid talking to people. She couldn't help being so anti-social and awkward, though. Could she? It wasn't like she meant to be that way.

Braden watched as she became big again. He still thought that was kind of amazing. He smiled at her when she sat across from him. He kind of liked this song a lot. He practically smoked wherever the fuck he wanted to and didn't get in trouble what so ever. This was the life. He nodded at the I'm pretty sure I'm sure." and then laughed. "I'm so going to get in trouble for corrupting you. Oh well."
Braden said before handing her the joint and a lighter and muttering a ladies first with an amused expression on his face. He should text Adam... That would be the brotherly thing to do. So, it was just like she'd thought it was. Corrupting the hybrid would involve her having to be pure, to be innocent, in some way or another. And, although no one knew about what had happened before, she was pretty sure that something like that would corrupt her by default. Braden had actually found out about that a couple nights or so ago - she'd admitted it while she was drunk - but for now, he thought that she'd just been thinking about nightmares, and how that one was her worst. She hated lying to him, she really did, but she had no other choice. Not until she was certain that it wouldn't get around. Not that she didn't trust him... she was just wary.
Holdonholdonholdon. Back up. He said he was going to get into trouble for corrupting her. How? She was a seventeen year old, not quite legal yet, but no one really cared about that. She was one girl. It wasn't as if Braden was getting a huge crowd of girls to smoke with him; it would be different if he was. Which kind of brought her mind back to his previous statement - maybe he did need a piratette. But no. Not relevant. The point was, there wasn't anyone who was going to care if Natesa smoked a joint or two, was there? So why would Braden get into trouble for it?
She took he joint carefully between her forefinger and middle finger, like she had seen the werewolf do so many times, and game him a slight smirk as he spoke. "Since when have you cared about getting into trouble anyways?" she teased him lightly, stretching out one leg in front f her and lightly nudging him with one foot. "Besides, I'm not a baby." She took a drag on the joint, coughing in what she hoped was a discreet maner when she pulled it away from her mouth. "I'm seventeen. Who exactly's going to care about me smoking with you?"
