Love is a many splendored thing. Unless, you're confused. Maggie really liked what he had with Daj but he knew something was missing. It was probably that they moved too fast. Maggie always had problems with moving too fast. He always got a kiss on the first date, he always got what he wanted within a week. Then he would leave the other person broken-hearted. Longest relationship was 2 weeks. That relationship would've lasted longer had it not been for him leaving to go to Northvale. They still texted sometimes but it wasn't the same.

Daj felt the hesitation emitting from Maggie. And there was nothing he could do to get rid of it. They really did went just a bit too fast. More faster than Daj was even used too. There were three things he could do: 1.) Try fix it before it breaks them both, 2.) Make the whole thing more visible so that Maggie could point it out, or 3.) Just let it go and watch whatever he had with Maggie die on its own. He didn't want to let Maggie go just yet. No. He sighed and turned to Maggie, ”Maggie, would you go on a date with me?”

Maggie didn't know what to say. If he hesitated to long, Daj would think he didn't want to go on the date. If he said something to quickly Daj might think he was really into the idea. He liked Daj but he wasn't a relationship kinda guy. ”Well, aren't we on one?”
[/b] Maggie asked trying not to sound too sarcastic. It was true. A picnic, outside, alone. That was pretty much a date wasn't it?
It was nice that Daj had realized they went too fast. Maggie didn't want to be the first one to say it. But it still made him feel irritable that Daj had pointed it out. Maggie didn't really know if he wanted to fix it. He didn't want to be stuck in a relationship, even if he really liked the other person. He didn't want anybody to get real close. Even if he knew there was something there. There was someone else. A person that would never leave his mind. No matter what he had with Daj, it was a fling. Maggie knew it would just be a fling.

Daj knew right then and there how Maggie felt. He simply smiled and knew that he had no option but just to enjoy what little time he had with Maggie. ”I knew this was going to happen. I must have been a fool to believe that I would be able to keep someone like him close for a long time.”

We can go and have fun at the Gateway this weekend." he said with a smile that he always had when it came to just being friends. Yeah, Daj could already see the end of it. Maggie finished his sandwich... He actually finished his 3rd sandwich but hadn't even notices how much he had been eating. He leaned back and looked up at the sun. It was such a nice day out but he could tell there were clouds forming. ”Yeah that would be nice. I think it's time to head in. I have creative writing and I really don't wanna get on Mr. Jacobs' bad side. He's been really grumpy lately.”
[/b] Maggie stood up and smoothed his clothes down. Then bent over to grab the basket.
It seemed that the weather was matching Maggie's mood. First he was happy and excited, now he was confused. Maybe if he just stopped thinking he would feel better.

Daj had finished his soda and managed to eat two sandwiches the whole time they were there. Daj was climbing out of his confusion now and was ready for whatever Maggie would say to him. Not that Daj would like it, no he wouldn't. But he knew there was nothing he could do if Maggie did leave him. Daj knew that there was nothing Daj really could say to make the other stay. He smiled and stood up as well, taking out his wand and made the food that wasn't eaten float back into the basket.
”Well, have fun in that class then. I still have free period.”
[/b] Daj said with a smile as he grabbed his books from the grass and dusted himself and straightened his clothes.
