It was his "time of the month" again. No, he wasn't a girl. But Amaya feared it the same way a young girl feared her's. After all, they both involved two things that anyone naturally fears: blood, and lack of control.
It would only be the third time he'd turned. The first time was confusing. The second time was terrifying. It was worse now that he knew what would happen. And with the wolf classes he'd been taking, it was possible to assume he would know what was going on. But they hadn't gotten to the chapter where one can really control the beast at all. So the fear became all-encompassing.
What was he to do? One thing only. Write about it.
Loss of self Loss of life Mine own But not mine own
The toenail in the sky Has blossomed to become a flower A flower dripping red water droplets
To save a soul Or many souls The beast must be kept Under lock and key Under the the shade of tall trees Under the sky that holds The flower, dripping red water droplets
He felt a bit better after writing it, but that didn't change the fact that he had to change. Grabbing a backpack full of chains and a large padlock, he set out for the forest.
But as he was leaving, he remembered that he had a debt to pay. Someone had left a piece of their soul under his door days before. So before he left, he slid the poem on the empty desk of a certain teacher, and prayed to no god that the man could not understand. And then he prayed that he could.

It was funny. Eli hadn't been this confused since he had first fell in love. It was weird. Eli never had felt any real emotions for a guy. He had always dated girls. Had a few sexual encounters with guys but never any real emotions. It was weird. Especially since it was a student. Not that Eli felt like a teacher but he sure as hell didn't think he'd fall for a student.
It had been a week since the first encounter. It had been hard for him to teach just telling the students to write stories about anything they wanted. Most were graphic, some had potential, but none were like what Amaya had written that first day.
Eli struggled with sleep. He got up, threw on some clothes, and went to his classroom to retrace what had happened the day when... On his desk was a piece of paper. He opened it to find a poem. It was from Amaya. The Eli realized that it was the full moon. He's a werewolf, Eli thought. He's afraid, he's afraid of what he might do...
Eli took off out of his classroom. He ran as if his life depended on it. He need to find Amaya. He needed to talk to him. To tell him everything was okay. He looked over the note as he ran. Trees, he's going to the forrest. Eli ran he didn't know if he would find him. Then he saw him he had a backpack full of things. "Amaya!" Eli yelled after the boy. He hoped to god that he would turn around.

It already hurt. Being exposed to the moon so blatantly, it couldn't help but hurt. Amaya wasn't concerned about the pain so much, having a masochistic side that wasn't overly hidden. But it did matter in that it was a warning. For the sake of the few people he cared about slightly, and for his asian honor. Hurry. Run faster. Haiyaku. Moto hashiru. Haiyaku.
His feet trampled the grass sloppily: he was no master of speed or form. Moving burned, ached and screamed. And the slight and slow ripping of skin was...incomprehensibly painful. Even the wordsmith was unable to describe it.
Breathing hard, he reached the edge of the forest. The trees were thin and young here, and he needed to get deeper. The chains in his backpack made his shoulder ache and wobble. Weak knees refused to move quickly enough. Gasping now. Breath was difficult. He needed to excessive more for this.
Finally, far in enough. A large oak with beautiful spring leaves stood in the center of an open circle of land. Probably sacred or something. Ignoring it, Amaya threw one chain of metal links around the trunk in three wraps, the locked it. A second chain connected to it, with metal cuffs that he snapped around his left ankle. The key he left in a hole, praying a bit that his wolf would not find it and dig it up, or worse, swallow it. Mostly he prayed that the chain would hold.
All that was left was to wait for the moon to steal his humanity for the night.

Eli kept running. He needed to talk to the boy. It was if not his life, but the boy's life depended on it. Amaya just kept walking he wouldn't turn around. "Amaya!" Eli yelled again.
Then he saw what was really in the bag chains. Chains and locks. He's scared... He's scared of what he might do. Eli wasn't sure if he should go up to Ama. Eli was scared, but he needed to build up the courage. He walked up to him. "You look like you need some help... and maybe some company." No that was wrong but Eli couldn't think of what else to say. It was the only way he could really confront Ama. He needed to confront him. "And I'm not taking no for an answer."

Who did this man think he was?! Amaya had finally settled in for the night safely as he could get, and this dumbass teacher was going to interrupt that? ...Perhaps the man was suicidal. Or an M, like him. That would make sense. Any other explanation as to why he would follow a young, volatile werewolf at the full moon to where he was going to change would make no sense.
Skin continuing to tear from his body, the wolf was about a quarter present, so Amaya still had mental control. For the sake of the teacher he barely knew, he pulled himself as far away from man as he could, chains withholding him from running away altogether.
"Are you an idiot? Get the hell away!" He screamed. The amount of air required to pass through his lungs hurt. Amaya was used to barely speaking at all. He normally wouldn't dare yell.
For no one else's sake would he dare.

Eli knew it was dumb but he couldn't figure out any other way to confront the young wolf. He had all these crazy mixed emotions that he needed to get out, and he could tell that Ama was scared. That he needed someone to comfort him. Eli could see that Ama was changing. Changing into one of the most dangerous creatures the world had ever known and yet here he was standing out in the middle of the forrest, no plan, no protection. Just this really crazy idea and a lot of care. "If you didn't want me to follow you then why did you leave the poem? No, wait don't answer that. I followed you because I can tell your scared. I'm scared. Not of what you would do to me in wolf form but you've already done. I need you to know that I'm here, and I know we haven't known each other that long but I want you to know that I'll always be here." Eli wasn't sure what he was saying. The words just spilled out.

What insanity was this man spilling? Pointless nonsense about always being there? Protecting him? The hell? Amaya didn't need that! He simply needed to turn, and deal with it on his own. The chain were almost certain to work, he'd tested them against a truck. And the tree was strong. With his preparation, he wasn't really concerned about hurting anyone. Instead, he was more concerned about this freak standing before him, screaming something about helping him. No one could help him. He was even more of a freak than the teacher - he was a monster. And monsters don't get saved. Twilight is a piece of crap literature. Vamps and wolves don't stop hurting people.
And maybe that's what this was all about. Amaya had been hurt in ways that can't even be understood except by the most broken of people and the top psychologists. So deep down underneath that pain and anger, he only want to protect this man. The man who claimed to want to protect him?
Either way, it was almost too late. His nails were dropping off his hands, to be replaced with claws, while simultaneously his teeth mimicked his nails. Agonizingly, his bones in his back were being broken to reconstruct in a more folded over position. Hell probably felt like this.
Before he couldn't speak anymore from such a twisted, animal throat, Amaya scratched out, "I don't want to hurt you."

Eli jumped back a bit as he noticed how far Ama was in his transformation. He obviously wasn't to in-touch with his wolf yet and was scared. ""No, you won't hurt me. I know you won't." Eli wasn't sure why he was saying anything. He knew he should just run away and never look back. Something was making him stay to help. To calm the savage beast that was taking over the boy's body. Eli had never shared a kiss with anyone like the one he and Ama had shared. It wasn't something he had expected. To just kiss someone out of the blue with no pre-planning, no discussion, no... date. The spontaneousness of it, the desire to do it again. It was all so new.
Eli wasn't even sure the boy would feel the same way. "If... If I stay... Ugh... Why am I even saying anything... For the first time in Eli's life he didn't know what to say. He knew what he could do but that was only if the boy got too out of control. He just stood there watching, waiting... Wait for what? Eli didn't know. For the boy to change so Eli could just let his feelings, his words just spill out. For Ama not to remember for him to hate Eli for following him and almost trying to get himself killed. Or for him to change and Eli to be able to help, in some way. There was no way to tell. "I won't let you hurt me."
