Northvale Academy is a school for excellence. That excellence can only be achieved by everyone striving toward the same goal. The goal to be the best. By following and abiding by the following rules then Northvale Academy can become a school of brilliance.

• Students must arrive on time to all lessons. Lateness will cause a detention from 7am to 8am. No excuses. If this detention is not attended, the punishment is doubled. Failure to attend a full lesson will result in a week of detentions. Ill students must be checked by the school nurse. Only they can mark a student as ill and therefore unable to attend their lessons.
  
  
• One issue I would like to address is uniform. Students must wear smart dress during school hours (9am - 6pm). This means no jeans, t-shirts or revealing dress. Make-up should also be kept to a minimum during school hours. A maximum of foundation, blusher, mascara and eyeliner. Students wearing excessive make up shall be asked to remove it and will receive a detention.
  
  
• Another issue that comes to my attention is the arrangement of the dormitories. Boys are not to enter a girl's dorm under any circumstances, and vice versa. Anyone that is caught doing so without a good reason will instantly be given detention. There will also be no public displays of affection during school hours. That isn't saying that you may not have feelings, that is merely saying that I do not want to see students canoodling in the corridors before lesson time.
