Striding down the corridors with purpose, Themis was searching for the culprit behind the pranks put in her office. It had been a couple of days but she was still hunting. Hunting for the female. Her office had been dripping in the scent of a werewolf. Such idiots that race were. Did they not understand that her senses were heightened beyond anyone at the school? She sneered slightly. She would find whoever did it. And they would be punished. Her sword (that was constantly in a scabbard by her hip) was capable of killing a werewolf. The weapon had been dipped in a deadly concoction of silver and belladonna extract when forged. It would kill whatever race she plunged it in to.

Of course, she could not kill her student. As much as she wanted to. But the punishment would be severe. She would be able to masquerade her punishments behind detentions. The female would be subjected to torture. Themis would make sure of it. As she stepped out into the courtyard, the scent was lost. It was always lost by the time she reached the courtyard. No matter how often she followed it. Her eyes flicked around. Her eyes flicked down. Touching the grass. Her eyes saw the most minute of details. The female had been barefoot. She followed the faint footsteps. The smallest crushed grass. The female had been quick. Running - no - sprinting. But no one would ever report the sprinting girl though many had probably seen her.

Themis ground her teeth together. As she reached the doors on the other side of the courtyard, the footsteps were lost. The female was slightly clever then. The vampire would give her that. Stepping back, she decided to just enjoy the evening. Try to control the rage burning through her though hidden by her impassive mask. No one ever saw her emotions and as her eyes flicked to the war memorial, she was glad. Stepping over, her eyes went through the names until she saw the surnames that matched her own. Sicarus. She read each name. Cerberus - father. Proserpine - mother. Vesta - sister. Dionysus - brother. Eros - brother. Erebos - brother. Hestia - sister. Thanatos - brother. Coeus - brother. Orpheus - brother. The one name that was missing? Antheia. The sister that had been murdered by werewolves.

The prank reminded her so much of her twin brothers. Eros and Erebos. They had played many on her when they were alive. Of course, the pranks had been more severe. They were all born vampires. She missed her family. They were the only people Themis had loved. And the wars had ripped them from her. It was why she fought so much to keep the rules in place. For all races to get on. Her mind wandered to the Dark Borea. A race both Miss Porter and Mr Redferne did not want in the school. Themis would not send them away. She could not anger the race. A war would start again from the discrimination. It was bound with their sadistic nature. No. She had to accept them into her school. For the sake of her students. Because though she never showed it - the vampire cared.

When she came to this place, it was an act of malice and politics. The other races had snubbed the boreai, and that was unacceptable, especially in her father's eyes. And if her father wasn't happy, nobody was happy. No, really. Suicide rates in the larger Istanbul area had gone up ten percent in the weeks after the treaties were signed. They'd had to bring him to a remote region of Irkutsk to avoid drawing too much suspicion.

And so she had gone to represent their race at the school, to ensure no one discounted their power and presence, to remind these lowly creatures that not one of them would dare cross the Sevgici family. The conflicted fear that ran through the council upon her announcement that she would take a role at the school was...satisfying, to say the least. And the barely restrained anger bubbling under the surface of the school's governess had been nothing short of exquisite. Leyla drank it in like a fine champagne.

Still, life here grew dull quickly, and being around such disgusting creatures - really, they allowed wolves here? - made Leyla's skin crawl. Her small pool of students left her plenty of time to explore the school grounds and the town in general. It was a pathetic sort of place, void of culture and refinement. Still, the school itself was rather beautiful, she had to admit.

After terrorizing a couple of first years she caught making out in the hallway, the borea made her way into the school courtyard, a smile curling on her lips as she spotted Sicarus. Oh, it did entertain her to toy with the woman. "Temis," she purred in a way that might have been friendly if not for the ever-present threat in her voice. "It is pleasure to see you, my dear. I trust you are well?"
