The Irishman liked the bookstore really. Sure, he was pretty much always alone, and the pay wasn't amazing, but he had fee reign f every single book in the store for a while. Meaning that he could browse and stuff for hours on end. Well, at least until someone came in. Then he was just their to take their money and wish them a good day. He hated the social aspect of his job, but money was money. Not that he needed any. It was just nice t have on hand. In case he ever needed to get anything at the last minute. It might have seemed weird, working if you didn't need money... but not to Felix. He was taking precautions and being wise, so he was telling himself.
The store was pretty much empty right now, just how he liked it. He was stood over by the section that was normally for kids - the comic book section. He couldn't help it. He'd never really given himself time to read the as a kid, and he'd pretty much fallen in love with them by the time he was fourteen. It was a little bit embarrassing, which was why he was thankful he was the only one in the store right now. Even though it would have been fairly obvious by the shirt that he wore that he was a comic book nerd, though. He tugged absent-mindedly at the black material, grinning down at it. What? He liked this shirt. So sue him.
After rifling through that section for a while, he smiled softly as he pulled a Spiderman comic carefully from the shelf, before going to lie on the front counter and flicking through to the page he had left off on the day before. Someone could have called this unprofessional, but he was past caring. It wasn't like anyone could see him right now, anyway. He was bored, he needed a distraction. And, poof, now he had one. Problem? Didn't think so. He shuffled a little to get himself more comfortable, and began to read, taking in the bright pop art and scribbled words He liked days like this - he liked them a lot.

So, the witch was heading to the bookstore. She needed some spellbooks, and, well, if she bought them then she wouldn't have to take them out of the library. Not that the library was bad.. It was just that Pan really didn't want people to know she was studying. Pretty damn hard actually. Everyone saw Pandora as the girl that didn't care. That waltzed into class and slept if nothing caught her interest but.. She really wanted to improve on her magical ability. She didn't know why exactly, she just did. Maybe so people could stop seeing her as bad at magic. That they would see that she was powerful. One of these days they would. They would all see that Pandora Hearth was a force to be reckoned with.
Opening the door to the bookstore she stepped inside. No one was by the till so she shrugged and went in search of spell books. It didn't take long before she was by the volumes of books. It was truly quite amazing. The witch picked up an advanced Charms book (because charms was actually her forté); a beginner's Transfiguration book; a book on simple Curses/Hexes and then, just for good measure, a book on the use of Latin in magic. Oh God. She was such a geek. Shrugging, she took her pile of books to the counter to see a familiar person lying there reading a comic.
She smiled at Felix "Hey there, care to let me purchase my books?" she said, chuckling as she placed them down on the counter by him. She was going to go down to the Koffee shop and read a little but maybe she'd stay here now with Felix. It seemed better, too. Then people wouldn't see her studying. She really didn't want people to find out. A part of her, for her pride, but the more she thought about it.. The more she just wanted to see the pride on the faces who had helped her throughout her year at the school. She had them to thank for how far she'd come. But, turning her attention back to Felix, she let out a laugh. "So, how're you doing then?" she asked as she pulled her purse out of her bag to pay for the books.

The bookshop, all in all, was a nice, peaceful place to be. Felix could read in peace for at least an hour at a time, anyway - the bookstore wasn't exactly Northvale City's country club. Wasn't surprising, really. All that was really here were books. Books. Oh, who was Felix kidding? He loved the things, which was the main reason he'd decided to work in the first place, let lone here. He was surrounded by all kinds of books each and every day and, although he never really went toward the section related to magic and being supernatural (he still couldn't quite bring himself to do it), there were books on pretty much anything. The variety was wonderful.
The teen had heard someone come in when he'd gone to get the comic, but there was no one in the main area when he arrived back at the front desk, so it didn't really matter. Maybe they'd already left? Seemed plausible. No one really stuck around for long; it was a wonder the place was still open. Maybe it was because the academy wasn't so far away and kids needed textbooks and stuff for class. It was quite a wise placement for a bookstore, actually. There probably wasn't anywhere better to put one. Maybe the owners did have some smarts about them after all - Felix would just have to give them props. Unless the placement was an accident, of course.
He'd been laid on the front desk for about five or ten minutes, just in his own little world, when a soft, female voice roused him from his stupor. His caramel eyes widened in shock, before his body finally obeyed his brain and swept the comic off of the counter, as he also jumped off. And then it finally clicked. It was only Pan. Thank god. But still, he felt like a nerd and a half. Oh, god. He sighed wit a mixture of relief and despondency, and half-smiled at the blonde witch. "That's kind of my job?" he said in response to her query, flipping his auburn hair out of his eyes. "And, by the way... you didn't see a comic. Okay? You were imaginin' it."
Yeah. Really subtle, that was.
As his newest friend placed the books she was carrying down on the counter in front of him, he tilted his head to the side as he took a peek at the titles. All magic books, something that Felix avoided like the plague for aforementioned reasons. He blinked up at the girl, toffee eyes swirling with curiosity. "Someone's doing some crammin'!" he said. "Jesus, Pan, you got an exam or anythin' tomorrow?" From what he'd gathered, Pandora wasn't really the studious type. But looks could be deceiving - he didn't really know enough about her to make a judgement about that yet.
In response to her question, the fourth year merely smiled and nodded. He was doing okay, really. There wasn't really anything to report about is life - right now, it was just focused on graduating and leaving that school as soon as he could. Getting back to normalcy as soon as he could. "Meh, can't complain," he said honestly, giving a curosry roll of his shoulders. Complaining wasn't necessary. Besides, there honestly wasn't much to complain about. "What about you? You feelin' any better?"

Felix looked positively terrified as Pan spoke. Luckily, he relaxed as he saw the girl. That was good. The witch wouldn't want to scare anyone, let alone Felix. The guy was so damned adorable. Though. Well. He worked here so really he shouldn't have been so so terrified. She giggled as he spoke about not seeing a comic. "Of course I didn't, Fee. So, if I had though. Superman? One of my cousins is a comic book nerd..." she told him. She didn't really mind comics herself. They were fun. Although she did prefer actual novels. Especially the classics. She was a geek like that.
And. Well. So, she didn't have a test. She wasn't cramming. She'd actually bought these books because she wanted to learn. She wanted to study. But.. She wouldn't tell Felix that. Heck. She wouldn't tell anyone that. Though, it did make the girl laugh that Felix had only known the girl for two weeks and yet he knew she didn't buy books just for fun. "Uh, yeah, I've got a test. And all the books have been taken out of the library. Thank God I have money. Or I'll be fucked". God, lying was so damn easy.
It was good that the fae was okay. And then he asked her the question she was getting sick of hearing over and over again. Why did they keep asking if she was okay. She would be okay if they stopped asking. But, she couldn't rant to Felix. Though, the next person who asked her that question was going to get punched. And she would laugh. "Yeah, I'm good. Though all bleh from the prospect of reading that pile there. Not fun. Not fun at all" she told him, a smile on her face. She just couldn't have a go at Felix for asking her if she was okay.

It was nice of her to play along, really. Even though she obviously knew that it was a poorly covered lie. But, come on. He wasn't supposed to read the stock. Especially not something meant for nine year olds. It was ridiculous, really. But he'd been deprived of this for almost his whole childhood! He was allowed to read things like this, wasn't he? Even if they weren't his, and even if he didn't quite have the money to buy them. Actually, the more he thought about it, the worse it got. It was pretty stupid, really, and he knew that. But stupid was pretty much built into the fae's DNA. He couldn't help it, and he hoped that she would understand that.
However, he couldn't help but narrow his toffee colored eyes slightly when she picked up on it. Superman. No. DC was shit compared to Marvel. Sure, there was Superman, and yes, there was Batman. But come on. Compared to Marvel, DC had nothing. Marvel had The Avengers, Spiderman, Hawkeye - Just so much! And to be mistaken for a DC fan was just... no. "Spiderman, actually." he corrected her, and then realised that he'd just thrown his previous lie out of the window. His frown was replaced with a sheepish smile as he ducked his head, a little embarrassed. How could have that gone past him? Maybe it was because he was in the company of someone. And a pretty someone, at that. That had to be it, because he didn't know how else it could have happened.
He had to admit, he was still a little weirded out by the fact that there were currently spell books on the counter in front of him. It was like... if he were human (which he often wished he was), then he would only have seen books like these in a crappy joke shop, or in one of those dark, scary rooms where psychics worked and that Felix never went near. Because... it was just too... strange. And now? Now he was seeing things like his everywhere. It was a huge change for him, and one that he was struggling to get used to. Just all of this. The whole supernatural lark. He sucked at it.
He'd kind of drifted off into his own little world for a minute, but he came back in time to hear the blonde reply to his question. It was a good thing, too, or else he would have looked retarded. Not the best thing to look, really. "Ah." he said, nodding. A small smile played on his lips as he put the books into a bag for her. "That... doesn't sound fun." 'Course it didn't, it was a test. Felix was nerdy, sure. He was the type of person that went to the library or read revision guides for fun. But come on. Even he had to admit that tests weren't exactly enjoyable, even if you did have an elevated IQ.
He smiled properly at her when she said that she was okay. That was good. Okay-ness was good. Even if it wasn't as good as goodness, it was still pretty great. Considering the state he'd found her in when they first met, anyway. "Aw, c'mon now," he lilted, a teasing tone piping through his voice. M' sure t'won't be that bad." He knew, of course, that it would be for her, but that didn't matter. With a cheeky grin, he tapped the books lightly with one of his fingers. "But then, I wouldn't know, would I? I don't have a test tomorrow."
