Vivienne loved Northvale so far. She was glad she came on a weekend so she had time to explore the grounds and the school and find out where everything was. It was kind of awesome actually. Viv didn't know why, but somehow she found herself in the.. courtyard. She thought that was what it was called at least. She sat down on the ground, cross legged, and carded her fingers through the grass. She was bored now. She didn't exactly have any friends yet and therefore no one to go wander around the town with. She thought maybe she needed to get someone to go with her to check out the bar or something.
She hovered her hand over the grass her fingers had just been playing with and burned them to a crisp. What? She liked fire. She was a fire faery after all. It would be kind of weird if she didn't like fire. She watched the grass burn with a smile on her face before turning around to get fresh grass. This time she pointed a single finger at the grass and wrote her name in burned grass. Yes. She was that bored.

 It was fairly cloudy out this evening. Yeah, the sun was still out and it was pretty light outdoors but Noah reckoned he'd be okay with heading out for a while and not get burnt to a crisp or become nothing more than a puddle of vampire on the floor. Like either of those things would actually happen in real life. But, still. The sun wasn't exactly his best friend considering his new race.
When he emerged out into the courtyard, he noticed a fiery-haired woman sat in the grass... burning it? Lucky him, the only company around was a fire faerie. At least he was assuming she was a fire faerie because that was the most likely option. Since he was heading in her direction anyway, Noah came to a stop as he walked past the person. He didn't recognise her... maybe she was new? Not that it mattered. "That looks dangerous." Noah commented, examining the burnt grass. It seemed to spell something out... a name? Yes, okay, it was a name. Probably the woman's.

She had just got done carving her own name in the grass when she heard a voice and the footsteps coming toward her. She looked up at the person the voice had come from. He was small. Well... smallish looking. She knew that didn't matter on how old you actually were though. No one would think she was 162, but she was. She loved being a faery sometimes. "Hey! It's not dangerous. Only if you don't know what you're doing, I suppose, but I have a pretty good control on my powers. I'm Vivienne. But you can just call me Viv."
[/b] She introduced herself and stuck out a hand for him to shake. Viv thought that maybe she should introduced herself as Ms. Fontaine? Or maybe Professor Fontaine. She wasn't sure... she was pretty positive, however, that she was going to be having her students call her Viv because she didn't want to seem that old. "What brings you here?"[/b] She asked him with a bright smile because she was simply in a good mood. Was it just him, or did this woman seem to talk an awful lot. Noah himself didn't offer more than necessary to a conversation, most of the time. It depended what he was forced into talking about. Ah, and he'd been correct about how the name burnt into the grass had been Viv's. "Okay then." he muttered dully, hesitantly shaking her hand, "I'm Noah." He was clearly lacking in any of the positivity or enthusiasm that the redhead possessed.
Being the charming, young soul that he was, Noah attempted a brief, weak smile so he didn't appear completely antisocial to the older being. "I don't know. Needed some air." the vampire shrugged. He felt incredibly awkward, standing here and talking to some random woman. So much so that he couldn't look her in the eye and was subconsciously fidgeting around.

Well this dude surely didn't talk all the much, Viv noticed as she saw his face turn a few different emotions and listened to the words that came out. It amused her, actually. She kept the smile on her face as she said something back. "I'm a fire fae. Obviously..." She gestured to the burned grass. "What race are you? I still like learning about the different kinds." She hadn't been sheltered or anything, but she just hadn't paid attention to the other races as much as she should have or other people do.
