She laughed as Toby started to think of her age if he was five, as she had said. And doctors were evil. She’d stand by that statement until the day she died. And now, apparently she was a toddler. Though, at the thought of a lullaby she smirked. “Aw, Toby, a lullaby sounds so lovely” she told him, grinning. She didn’t think she’d ever heard Toby sing. She wondered if he could. Practically everyone knew that she could sing. She was always singing, but it wasn’t often you found out the other students might have talents of their own.
She knew that it was a bad idea to give the man an ego boost. She saw that smirk on his face. Wonderful. And she’d never be able to take that back now. She shook her head. Why had she said it? Why? Though, her thoughts soon were more occupied by the child that had replaced her friend. She laughed along with him, shaking her head softly. “Oh come on, it is common knowledge that I’m a bitch” which was entirely true. She was pretty cruel to some of the people in the school. Especially anyone that had hurt her, or, her friends, and that one was a lot worse.
She smiled as his expression turned serious and he told her he had no clue on what was wrong with her. She didn’t know either. Maybe she was just too reckless for her own good. Though, being reckless was fun. She did all of the things that other people might be too scared to do and it was fun. When Toby began to laugh, so did she. There was something about his laugh that was just infectious.
At the sound of a fight with Connor, she rolled her eyes. Tobias was always fighting with her brothers. She’d never understand it. At hearing that he wanted to punch all of her brothers she smirked. Time to get revenge for calling her names. “What? No! Don’t punch them! Well, not Liam or Cain. They’re hot; don’t want you to ruin their gorgeous faces. Damn, you’re siblings are gorgeous, Toby, it just isn’t fair” she spoke, in fact, being entirely honest but she knew it’d wind up her friend if she talked about his brothers like that.
As they watched the clouds, she heard Toby speak. A cow’s butt? She followed his arm and looked at the cloud. But then he said it looked like her face. She turned to him. “That’s it, Tobias Eliot Redferne, that’s one insult too far!” she tried to sound serious and angry but she was giggling. She sat up and punched his chest. Not hard enough to hurt him, but there was a little force behind the blow. “You’re such a dick. I take back everything I said about you. Your brothers are right!” she exclaimed, still laughing. Why on Earth could she never be serious around Toby? It irritated her. She’d loved to have a serious tone as she said things, but at least with the laughter he knew that she was joking.

Tobias snorted when Panny started talking about his brothers being "hot". He really didn't want to hear her gush about how "hot" they were, but Tobias figured that she didn't actually mean it-- after all, she was his best friend, right? She wouldn't go behind his back and start making out with one of his brothers or anything. That'd just be creepy and kind of weird. "Oh my GOD, Panny, I don't want to know about my brothers or how much you want to get in their pants!" he shrieked told her, covering his ears with his hands. "Just for that you're not getting a lullaby!" He smiled truimphantly at her. Ha, no lullaby for Panny. Now she'd know not to talk about his brothers like that.
And then she did this weird, I'm-trying-to-be-serious-but-kind-of-failing thing to him, talking about how he was a dick and how she was taking back everything she ever said about him. "I suppose you could take back everything you've ever said about me; it's not like you say many good things, anyway," he told her, still grinning. "Anyway, I never asked, you're training with Liam now, right? How's that going for you? Is he as much of a hardass as he's always been?" Tobias vaguely remembered Panny telling him about studying under Liam now, or something, for reasons unknown but whatever. But that Pandora actually willingly asking someone for help with her magic was really awesome, because it meant that she was actually putting in effort into her studies! So soon he wouldn't even have to hold back when they were fighting, or whatever. Regardless, it'd be awesome.
"I wish you would've asked me for help, though." he mentioned offhandedly, meaning it a little bit but at the same time not really. He kind of wished that Pan had thought to come to him first-- after all, he was the strongest sorcerer student in the school-- but then again, she definitely had her reasons for going to Liam. It was probably because he was a teacher, but yeah. "I mean, I could totally help you. I'm going to be more powerful than Liam soon, just you see!" he ended off in a joking tone, smirking a bit. Tobias was pretty confident that he'd soon be able to beat Liam in a fight, simply because he wouldn't stop until he managed to. It was his teenage-years goal or something, after all.

The witch got the reaction she wanted. Toby being absolutely horrified that she was commenting on the hotness of his brothers. His words made her laugh. Giggles leaving her lips and tears actually filling her eyes. It was just the way he was saying it. He sounded like a teenage girl. And the fact he was covering his ears with his hands? Well. That just amused the girl even further. "I said nothing about getting into their pants, but God, now you mention it..." she trailed off, to avoid Toby probably killing her. She stopped laughing as he said she wouldn't get a lullaby. Well, that sucked. She was looking forward to the lullaby. But.. It was worth it. At his triumphant smile she rolled her eyes. "No teasing or I'll go back to lusting after your brothers.. ah, I love having something over you" she said, a triumphant smile now on her own face.
When he spoke again she giggled slight. Well, that was true. When talking about Toby one would generally use the terms 'dick' and 'asshole'. Of course, there were the occassional times that he was nice but, they were so rare it was hardly worth commenting on them. But then he spoke of her training sessions she smiled a little. She giggled a little at his last comment. Well, it was Liam. But he had to be a hardass in their training sessions. She was Shielding. It was dangerous and they couldn't mess about. Not that she really could imagine Liam messing about. Hmm.. New goal perhaps? She broke out of her thoughts to answer her friend. "Yeah, it's okay. I'm learning, I'm improving. It's quite cool really" she told him. And then Toby said something that actually made her smile. "Aww, Toby" she spoke, the girl actually feeling quite.. flattered for that comment. It was great when he was sweet. At his following words, Toby came back. The over-confident teenager that wanted to take on the world. But, she couldn't ignore what he had said. "Okay, sure, I believe you. And Liam's safer than you to teach me curses... But... If you want to try and teach me a little transfiguration I wouldn't mind?" the words that left her

Seriously, couldn't Pandora just completely avoid the topic of his brothers? It wasn't like anyone wanted to hear what their best friend thought about their brothers (especially that one brother who had practically raised them all). Gosh. Tobias summoned nearby treebranch and made it whack Panny over the head. "If you continue talking about my brothers like that, I'll pretend to be you and write love confessions to them all!" he warned, not actually serious (why on earth would he want to write love letters to his brothers? Ew!) but hoping that it'd work regardless.
"No teasing?" he asked. "But you're just so teasable, Panny!" he told her, prodding her with the branch. This branch was turning out to be really convenient.. "I don't think it's possible, I doubt we've actually had a conversation where there wasn't some teasing going on."
Then Panny told him that she was learning and improving and blaaaaaaah, well. That wasn't exactly a surprise. Liam was a Redferne after all, and even though Tobias didn't want to admit it, he was a pretty damn good teacher. Even though Tobias always skipped his class. It wasn't Tobias' fault that he'd learned everything he needed to learn during the war, and it also wasn't his fault that he felt he could be doing better and more interesting things than going for Liam's silly class. Now, if only Liam would have a seperate curriculum for him, that would be interesting and he would actually go.
When Panny told him that she was okay with him teaching her transfiguration, Tobias felt this little bit of pride bubble up in him before he squashed it back down. "Yeah, sure, whatever," he told Pan, trying to stop the ridiculous grin that was threatening to appear on his face. What? Tobias really loved being recognised for his talents, and him being able to help his best friend would be just awesome, okay? "I could totally teach Transfigurations better than Liam, anyway." And he didn't stop his grin at this, because it was just the truth. Liam didn't hold a candle to him when it came to Transfigurations-- nobody did.

A giggle left her lips as he spoke. Writing love letters, to his brothers, from her? Well, normally it might scare a girl but, she didn't think the brothers would take it seriously. For one, it wouldn't be in her handwriting. Another? Well, she was engaged for crying out loud! Yes, the girl still flirted occasionally but nothing was ever serious. Then he summoned a tree branch and fucking whacked her around the head with it. She glared at the man. "Hey! Uncalled for!" she told him, huffing a little and trying to fix her hair again. Okay. Maybe she was just a little vain. But then she went back to the topic in question. "Sure, you can go write letters. Why not? But fine, if it's pissing you off that much I'll stop talking about it. Because I'm actually nice like that and don't hit people with trees!"
As her friend spoke further, he was prodding her with the branch. The witch was getting an urge to take that branch and burn it. "I think you're right.. Wow. We're great friends, aren't we? Can't even have one conversation without insulting one another. I'm so proud of us" she laughed again as she spoke. Toby was her best friend. She actually couldn't deny it anymore. Alex was great and everything, and so was Bree, but.. Toby.. The guy was great.
And when she asked him to teach her transfiguration? She could see the smile threatening to break onto his face. His off-handish words contrasted with the sense of pride that leaked ever so slightly into his words. When he spoke again, she laughed, and the grin found it's way onto her best friend's face. "Of course you could, Liam's far too serious. And it's not like transfiguration is overly dangerous. We could so have some fun. Just as long as you don't spend too long on the boring safety shit, Liam's downfall right there" she felt a little bad, bitching about his brother ever so slightly but.. she couldn't help it. Toby was just bringing that side out of her.
