Chase hadn't exactly ruined his joke but he sort of in some way had? It wasn't as if Brent was even being remotely serious anyway so he didn't care. Because he was still funny. Amazingly funny.

He smiled at Chase, flattered by his words, as ever. "So, hang on, are you trying to insinuate that I was complaining or what?" he smirked. Brent... complain? That would be silly. And, when he did complain it was only, y'know, a couple dozen times every few hours. Could be worse.

Chase was pretty sure that was exactly what he was insinuating, actually. He laughed again and nodded. He loved the way Brent's emotions felt right now. How... carefree they were. How... relaxed and comfortable he felt around Brent. They were much better than the anger Chase had to calm down earlier. He smirked at Brent and played with his hair that overlapped onto his neck. "What if I was?"

Brent feigned a hurt expression, pouting the slightest bit. "Then that would be a nasty thing to say, Chase Jackson." he huffed, a hint of of a whine to his voice. The hybrid tilted his head back slightly in obviously put-on annoyance but still kept his eyes on the younger male. Brent had to force the smile off his lips. He could feel Chase playing with the hair at the nape of his neck and he almost squirmed because Brent was actually very ticklish. Nobody was allowed to know that though. Nobody.

Chase could definitely get used to this. Flirting with Brent. Not caring about whether Brent was going to hurt him because Chase knew he wasn't. It was... kind of amazing. Chase blamed that for the urge he got to kiss Brent and then the teasing that progressed into him doing so. Chase kept his smirk on his face as he leaned in closer to Brent, even though they were really close already. "Mmmm. Then let me apologize, Mr. McKinney?"

He tipped his head forward again, his faked irritation faltering as Chase moved his face closer towards Brent's. Brent was a big fan of apologies - only if he was on the receiving end of them though. Otherwise he tended to do his best to avoid them. "Oh yes, I feel an apology will be extremely necessary..." Yup, apologies could be pretty awesome sometimes. Brent very nearly gave in and kissed Chase already but forced himself to wait and held the soul faerie's gaze as he moved his head again so their lips were almost, almost brushing.

Chase was glad Brent agreed that an apology needed to be made. He thought at first Brent was just going to kiss him himself, but of course, he held himself back. Chase didn't mind all the much. It was his apology to Brent after all. His hand snuck up even further into Brent's hair before smirking even further at Brent, the smirk making their lips brush gently. "Then an apology is what you will get,"

Brent's eyes fluttered shut when Chase finally kissed him, even if it was nothing more than a soft brush of their lips. It was a kiss from him nonetheless, so Brent was at least partly satisfied with that. The teacher thought that, yes, he was going to have to accept the fae's apology. And kissing Chase really was a whole lot different than what Brent was used to; everything was just more... sincere. He liked that, for some reason. Brent then tilted his head to the side more and applied more pressure to the kiss but it was still somewhat gentle.

This was definitely going to be Chase's favorite thing to do if he got to keep doing this, because.. hello. Kissing. Kissing Brent. Kissing Brent nice. Chase's smiled into the kiss and closed his eyes when Brent turned his head and put more pressure to it. Chase decided that they were in a not good enough position, however, and went to move. Chase curled to the side and fell down on his back, while dragging Brent over him, all the while not breaking the kiss. They had just kissed in the water standing up. Chase wanted to see if it was even better laying down.

Laying down was a lot better and more convenient than attempting to stay sat up and not have to keep his balance, even if Brent had wondered for a moment what exactly Chase was trying to achieve but he had realised by now, clearly. The crossbreed fidgeted around a bit in order to straddle the fae. Brent was wondering how on earth he'd ended up in the middle of the forest, exchanging kisses with a student. Like... this had definitely not been in the job description. It was a good thing that he didn't seem to have a problem with that.

As soon as Brent got situated over Chase, his hands went to Brent's waist and gripped tightly. He put even more pressure into the kiss and deepened it. Hoping to Psyche that no one decided to go for a walk right now and run across them on the ground. Chase got the feeling that Brent didn't exactly want people to know, which was fine with Brent. He wasn't exactly someone to want to go rush and tell people. Who would he even tell. No one. Chase was fine with a secret relationship, it wasn't like he didn't know a teacher/student relationship was probably wrong. He just didn't seem to care.
