  Kallie was bored of Northvale. She needed to get out. She wanted to swim. She'd had a great night. A really great night. She'd gone to the gateway and had picked up a rather nice lad. In a happy, satisfied daze she found herself at the pier. It was such a beautiful morning. Looking across the water, she slipped off her shoes. Finally. It was time to take a nice swim.
She pulled up her dress and threw it to the side. The Siren started to run. She ran down the pier to its edge. On the last footfall, she propelled herself into the air. Doing a flip, as she touched the water, she began to transform.
Her legs started to fuse together. The skin changing. Turning into beautiful, red scales. At last, her feet changed, turning into flippers the same shade of red as her tail and hair. She plunged into the cool waters. The transformation didn't hurt one bit. God, it was good to be swimming once again. She surfaced and took in a breath. Lying back in the water, gazing up at the sky, and just grinning. She flicked her tail. A spray of water flying through the air. A laugh left her. It was good to be relaxed.

Chase wasn't entirely sure what he was doing off the campus of northvale, but he wanted to get out a bit. See the world. Or.. the town at least. That would be a good start, he thought. The water seemed like a good place to start. He was just walking on the pier, minding his own business when he saw a mermaid thingy in the water. She must be a siren. He silently wondered what Brent looked like when he had a tail. That would be something to see for sure. But... he could imagine what it would be like.
He sat down on the pier and watched, too shy to actually say anything to her. He considering going in himself, but he hadn't brought a swimsuit or anything, and even then, it wasn't like he could take his shirt off or something. People would see his scars and that wouldn't end very well for him. It would be horrible.

She was perfectly content in the water. Just looking up at the sky and watching the world go past. It was a truly stunning day. Ducking under the cool waters, she began to swim. Her tail propelled her deeper until she reached the bottom of the lake. It was pretty down here. The sun reached the depths of the clear water quite easily. She loved looking around.
Pushing herself back up, she reached the surface and looked around. That's when a person caught her eye. He wasn't bad looking, a little baby-faced, but quite cute really. She flashed him a grin. "Hey there sweetheart" she spoke, in a light, happy tone. She wasn't using her Siren voice. She would be content with just chatting normally today and not aiming to sleep with him.
She swam closer to the pier. Putting her arms on the wood, she pulled her body up ever so slightly and rested her head on her arms. Her tail still swishing in the water. "What brings a cutie like you out here then?" she spoke, a smile still on her face. "I'm Kalliope, but please, call me Kallie. Only my eldest sister calls me Kalliope - and that's when I've broken the rules, which is basically every day". Kalliope was always warm and friendly to new people - especially men. She got on better with guys, even if she didn't want to sleep with them.

Oh shit, she was coming toward him. Fuck. Shit. Crap. This was bad. Very bad. Chase didn't know what to do in an event like this. Most people just... didn't talk to him and now she was. Wait. Did she just call him sweetheart? Okay, that was not okay. Crap no it wasn't okay. Chase opened his mouth at the same time his eyes became wide. He wasn't sure why people kept talking to him! Couldn't he just watch in silence? Obviously not... "Uhmm..."
