It was ridiculously unfair, so the werewolf found, how comfortable the chair that he was sitting on was. No, seriously. He felt like he could just melt into it. Which wouldn't really be ideal just now, seeing as he'd literally just found the time to do this. But, ugh. Going to school again was really tough. He'd been through it once. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, presumably never going back. But, just his luck, he had to be bitten by a werewolf. Which was okay, in itself; he loved being a wolf. Being shipped back to school? Not so much. Once was enough, thank you.
But, yes. Anyway. He'd literally just found the time between classes to sit down. He could nap. But, no. There was something else that he'd much rather be doing right now, although sleep sounded far more appealing than it really should have. He'd gotten the brochure from the local estate agent's (God, how he hated those places), and now had it spread across his lap, staring at it intently, his head resting on his hands. There was nothing, nothing that was really standing out. He wanted it to be perfect for them; he wouldn't take anything less. It didn't even have to be particularly big.
He sighed theatrically, flopping into the back of the sofa in a kind of well-calculated despair. How was this going to work if he couldn't find somewhere for he and Lupa to live? He wanted to live with her, look out for her. But nothing was working, not at a first glance. It was just kind of... sad. He didn't know whether it was just him being picky, or whether his opinion was worth something on this subject or what. He just wanted things to be nice, stable, happy. Was that wrong? Ugh, he didn't even know where his mind was going anymore. Some help would have been useful; Jimmy was just a little over tired, so he thought.
Damn school.

Day after day, same routine. The young werewolf disliked repetition and constantly tried to shake up her daily routine whether that meant sleeping more, less or just taking a different path to school. Today she decided to visit the dorm for a bit while she had a bit of downtime till her next class. The walk back was quiet, uneventful but that was to be expected. Normally she also would have plodded back to her room in wolf form but Blue Rose was being a bit touchy. Whenever Lupa's wolf was like this she knew it was wiser to just leave her wolf-side alone till it calmed down. Whenever Rose was like that she was hard to control. Controlling her wolf was a pain and if she couldn't control her wolf then bad things would happen. Really.
Anyway, Lupa was just about to go straight to her room but a familiar scent beckoned her to the common room. As soon as she entered the room, her eyes were greeted with a familiar form sitting in a chair. A small grin crept upon her face as she walked closer to the form, his scent growing stronger with each step. That werewolf was no other than Jimmy Ashdown, Lupa's boyfriend and the only one who could put a smile on her face despite a shitty day.
Once Lupa was close enough she wrapped her arms around Jimmy's neck while leaning on the chair. "Hey pup. What're you doing?" She greeted him quietly, pressing her cheek against his.

It was getting harder and harder to keep hold of consciousness. Sleep was beckoning, so warm and inviting. Jimmy liked sleep. He really did. And, come on... this chair was so comfortable. It was just something about how plush it was compared to the other chairs in the school. His Common Room was so amazingly comfortable; trying to keep awake whilst sitting in something so comfortable was futile. He could actually feel his eyelids drooping. Just... maybe a tiny nap. Maybe. Wait. No. He wanted to get this done first. But... sleeping.
He was jarred from his half-slumber by a soft, all-too-familiar voice and nickname in his ear and a warm cheek pressed against his own. A crooked, somewhat sleepy smile crept onto his face. Lupa. His girlfriend, whom he loved very dearly, had come s if God had just sent her. Which was good. He needed to stay awake and coherent for as long as possible to do this properly. And having Lupa here would help him do that. He wasn't going to fall asleep in front of his girlfriend, that would just be awful.
He turned his head some, so that his lips brushed her cheek for a fleeting moment. "Hello, love," he said to her, shaking his dirty-blond hair out of his eyes with just a twitch of his head. He tapped the glossy pages of the brochure with one of his fingers, which made a satisfying noise as he did so. "I'm house-hunting? Y'know, until I have to go to class again." Ugh. Class. Maybe he would skip. Just sleep in. That sounded wonderful. Then he would actually be able to function properly.

"House-hunting, huh?" the younger werewolf picked up one of the brochures from his lap and skimmed through it. Nothing of major interest there. Before you ask, yeah. The two of them were planning on moving in together. Did her father agree to this plan? No but she was planning on taking a break from her pack so she'd need a place to stay anyway. In the end, after much debating, Lupa managed to convince her father to let her go. All the arguing was worth it though.
"I'm guessing we're not having much luck..." She muttered as she dropped the brochure back where she found it and buried her face in the neck of the other werewolf. Lupa knitted her eyebrows concernedly as she then took in her pup's scent. He looked and smelled way too sleepy for his brain to be capable of house-hunting, let alone class.
"Jimmy, why don't you just skip class? You look about as brain-dead as a zombie right now. Geez, didn't you sleep last night?" Lupa smacked her boyfriend upside the head. She wasn't going to have a brain-dead boyfriend on her hands. Besides, skipping class would give them an excuse to just enjoy each other's company for awhile. Who cared if they got detention? It had been a long while since the two of them stayed in each other's presence for more than two hours. (Though Lupa had to admit, it was mostly her fault for that.)

The man nodded slowly, smiling somewhat shyly at his girlfriend. "Yeah. House hunting." he clarified, with a slight shrug of his shoulders as if it meant nothing, when really, it meant quite a lot. "Y'know... I just want to find a nice place. For us." And he really, really did. Not even for himself, really, but for her. After all the different women that he'd been through, before finally landing on the one that he loved, he didn't really deserve the best, like she did. But after what she'd been through? Jimmy wanted to bring something good to her life. And what better way to do it than to move into the perfect house with her?
Sadly, though, nothing was catching his eye. He shook his head, almost guiltily, as he looked up at her with cobalt eyes. "No, no, nothing yet," he said, with a small sigh, as he shut the brochure in his lap. He leaned into the other werewolf's touch, closing his eyes for a fraction of a second and finding himself not wanting to open them again. He could just fall asleep, right here right now.
Only, he didn't. Lupa gave him a sort of concerned look that pulled on his heartstrings a bit. She probably didn't realize how cute he found it that she was worried about him, but he found it adorable. But, ugh, she was making skipping class too tempting. It wasn't fair; he knew he shouldn't skip, but... he was tired. He'd had these brochures (and a few others) pen in front of him practically all night. He was serious about wanting the perfect house. But now... he was kind of wishing he hadn't.
He laughed slightly at Lupa's comment. "Thanks, Lupey. Just charming." he teased her lightly. "I... was looking through these all night." he admitted, pointing at one of the brochures. He stifled a yawn. Ugh, how he wished he'd gotten some sleep. "Skipping sounds more attractive than it really should."

Lupa let out a small sigh of disappointment. Who knew finding a single house could be so hard and, not to mention, stressful? All she really wanted was a small, simple house with enough land around it to keep their wolves happy. All the houses they had seen were either too extravagant (and pricey) or just a tad bit... repetitive. Oh well, they would find the perfect house eventually but she was growing worried for her boyfriend. It seemed that he was a bit too passionate about the search that he was becoming deprived of sleep and free time. That was never good.
"That's because skipping is very attractive when you look as tired as an overworked horse." Lupa rolled her ocean blue eyes and stooped down to give her boyfriend a quick but affectionate kiss. "C'mon Jimmy Ashdown, get some rest and I'll stay with you. It's not like an hour of detention is going to kill us. It adds extra time to my procrastination schedule. Why do homework after school when you can just do it in detention? Anyway, scoot."
With that, Lupa nudged Jimmy a bit to settle herself in the armchair he was occupying. The chair was large but not large enough to fit two werewolves so the two of them were kind of forced to tangle themselves up so that they were both comfortable. Once the younger of the two was comfortable, she reached up to ruffle Jimmy's while searching for one of his hands. Yup, it was cuddle time for Lummy.

He hated how disappointed Lupa sounded, and how guilty he felt because of it. How hard should it have been, really, for him to find something that would keep both them and the wolves satisfied? In theory, it shouldn't have been too complex. In doing, it was one of the trickiest things ever, no lie. It shouldn't have been, it really shouldn't have. But it was, and Jimmy hated it. He knew that it wasn't his fault that there wasn't anything good that he'd found yet... but it just felt like it was.
"Probably because I am overworked." he whined to his girlfriend, although he was cheekily grinning, just to show that he wasn't trying to be irritating. If he was trying, then it would have been so much worse, anyway. "I have so much homework. But doing it in detention sounds cooler than staying up another night to do it." The bad thing about pulling all nighters, though, was that when you had a bottle of Lucozade and a clock that said 3:30 am, it seemed like the best idea in the world. But it wasn't. Something the boy had learned the hard way.
He chuckled at his girlfriend's command, but did as she asked. Jimmy wasn't really awake enough to refuse to do anything, although he didn't really want to move. Besides, he hadn't cuddled with Lupa in far too long. He missed it, actually. Just like he missed talking to her. His arm almost automatically snaked around her shoulders, and with his other hand, found hers and gave it a comforting squeeze. Ah, yeah, he really had missed this.

The werewolf sighed once again; not because of disappointment but of happiness and content. She stayed silent for awhile, simply enjoying the warmth and feel of her boyfriend close to her's. A small wave of guilt overcame her, she had missed this yet it was her fault that it wasn't happening. Recently, her schedule had been go to school, sleep whenever she could, do homework then spend her few leftover minutes with Jimmy if she could find him. Her schedule was more sleep-filled then anything else. Lupa knew why this was so but she would never admit it to herself or anyone else for that matter. Well, not yet at least.
"It's been awhile since we've just done this, hasn't it?" The female werewolf finally broke the soft, comfortable silence with a simple statement. Another pang of guilt flowed through her but she ignored it. Lupa had learned to take reign of her emotions and she wasn't going to let them ruin the moment. Right now, it was just perfect. The world could have ended and she wouldn't have cared a single bit.

Jimmy didn't know exactly how long he and Lupa stayed in their small state of silence. If he was honest, the Englishman relished the utter calm. It was perfect, and couldn't have been more so. A lot had been going on lately; he missed moments like this, times where he didn't have to worry about anything but that second, that minute. He knew why they didn't happen so often now, but that wasn't to say that he liked it. No, not one bit. He longed for time that he didn't have to be grown up and think about things, as his teenage years had been.
Just as he was thinking this, the younger werewolf voiced his thoughts in almost perfect accord with his mind. It was just a tad spooky, from his point of view. But, when he quirked an amused eyebrow at her, he realized just how guilty she felt about it, which in turn, made him feel a little bad. It hadn't been her fault entirely; no, he was probably just as much to blame as she. Anyway, even though they hadn't been spending quite so much time together, this moment, right here and now, was perfect.
He held her slightly closer to him, and brushed his lips lightly against her cheek, just to make her feel a little better about it, before nodding slightly. "It has. Just a little while." he concurred, before shrugging. "But, y'know, I don't think it matters that much. We have now, don't we?" And then smirking some, he added "And then, we'll have the detention that we're going to get for skipping class together." He'd rather have detention with Lupa than not spend any time with her at all. As long as they were together for some of the time, Jimmy didn't mind it in the slightest.
