Lupa loved the forest. It was just natural. She was a werewolf, born and raised so it was just natural for her to love the type of habitat she was made for. Sometimes she would simply go into the woods in her wolf form, find a secluded spot, curl up into a ball and take a nap. Today was one of those days. She was starting to find herself taking more forest naps after school for some strange reason. Actually, that was a lie. Lupa knew exactly why this was happening.
Sleep, sleep, sleep. The werewolf guessed that she had been sleeping for about two hours. She still had time before she was to make her way back to the dorm for homework, food then more sleep. So, would she just go back early or try and catch a few more Z's? Neither. Apparently her body made it clear that neither option was suited for them as Lupa stretched her somewhat sore muscles. The sandy colored wolf sighed and just curled back up into a ball. All she could do know is wait and think.

Brent found himself feeling rather attached to the forests he visited. He wasn't sure why since he mostly came there to calm down and start fires that could sometimes end up being pretty horrendous. He almost felt bad for destroying the wildlife here, almost. It wasn't his fault - these things had to be done. He wasn't going to try and justify his actions because Brent couldn't never find the right words. It was like in the way that playing music helped him regain control, burning things did the same. Sometimes he did get more than a little out of hand though, Brent knew that but it didn't prompt him to stop. He couldn't stop. The same way he couldn't stop himself from burning his house down all those years ago but he wasn't going to think about that. The incident had occurred many years ago now. It was, quite literally, buried in the ashes.
Using the powers he'd inherited from his father, Brent stood still and watched as the flames he'd produced spread up the tree trunk, eating away at the gnarled bark. The bright colours reflected in his dark, hazel eyes and gave him an almost crazy appearance. Brent barely blinked, he just carried on with his burning spree. The teacher set off another smaller tree, this time starting from the top so the leaves caught fire first, then the branches, and then the trunk. It was fascinating for him, even now, when he'd seen this hundreds of times before. The thrill of being so close to something so dangerous brought a genuine grin to the man's face. He had no concern for whatever or whoever was lurking nearby right now, he was too engulfed by his own affairs.

The sandy werewolf was up the moment the faint smell of smoke reached her nose. Panic. That's the first thing that filled her mind. Her instincts went haywire. Her mind was lost and she was desperately trying to get it back before she would do something that she'd regret. However, before she could, her paws started moving, trying to find a way out of the flames. She regained control of herself then. Lupa tried to stay calm and find the source of the fire even though her body was screaming at her to save herself. No matter how calm she tried, the wold couldn't stop her ears from laying flat against her head and tail tucked in between her legs in terror.
Lupa looked around, trying to get hold of a scent that would lead her to the source of flames but it was hard with all the smoke. Finally, she was able to after a few moments of fighting the urge to flee and just looking around, she saw a figure that looked pretty human. Well, judging by that person's stance she assumed he was a faerie but there was something else to his scent... Oh well, it didn't matter to her right now.
As soon as she was close enough, Lupa gathered her courage and leaped onto the pyromaniac teacher. She restrained herself from killing him right then and there but that didn't stop her from snarling at him.

He should stop. Right now. Before he did too much damage and got found out because this forest wasn't even his to destroy but Brent couldn't bring himself to do so. This was in his genes, for god's sake! It wasn't that hard for anyone to figure out why he was doing this in the first place.
Brent was literally forced to stop when something large and heavy pounced on him, knocking him to the ground with a loud - and painful - thud. He opened his eyes to see a wolf snarling down at him and stared at the creature in horror. He had nothing against wolves but, fuck, they were kind of terrifying. Especially when they were snarling in your face like that. Oh shit. He was going to die.

Not killing him was harder than Lupa thought. The terrified look in his face and the subtle signs of submission he was unknowingly presenting to her were just all too tempting. It was practically like the being below her was begging to have his life taken away but she didn't. Lupa bore her teeth, snarled and glared at him with her blue eyes that screamed, "The fuck is wrong with you?" on it. While simply killing him would be much easier, she could get in trouble for that. Trouble was the last thing she needed at the moment too.
Fire didn't scare Lupa. It was forest fires that ticked her off. Forest fires, mirrors and ladybugs (or ladybirds if that's what you call 'em) were three things that could truly send a spike of fear in her heart. Believe it or not, the reason why she was afraid of forest fires and ladybugs were connected. Very closely connected, in fact.

The wolf's blue eyes bore into Brent's. He didn't know where he was meant to look. Maybe he'd just look pleadingly at the creature. It wasn't like he'd been doing something that bad, was it?
He struggled under the canine's weight, shifting slightly under her in a futile attempt to break free. Brent felt sick with nerves... the only thing he could do was... fight back? So, before he could change his mind, he moved a hand to the wolf's side and produced a burning hot flame to injure the animal and protect himself.

Lupa had to admit, she kind of saw it coming. Before the faerie hybrid could severely burn her side, she back flipped off of him and landed herself so that she was in position to strike at his hand. Her paws stayed on the ground for only but a second before she was in the air again, aiming her jaws at the teacher's wrist. If she put enough force and pressure into her bite then she could crush the bones in her jaw with ease. However, she wasn't here to kill so her canines didn't go past the flesh.
The Trancy pack was proud of two things. One, their ancient roots and being able to boast that they were one of the first werewolf packs in history. Two, their tricks with a wolf's agility. Every wolf in the pack was trained to not just be strong but agile as well. Even if your agility level wasn't the best the pack had quite a number of tricks to help avoid attacks from your opponents. Flips were one of these tricks as was learning how to use one's weight as an advantage.

Self-defence had been an exceptionally shitty idea and Brent had really proved that himself right now as he thrashed about more and let out a cry of pain as the wolf bit his wrist. If that stopped him from playing piano, he was going to have a temper tantrum for sure.
He was kind of stuck now. Did he simply allow himself to be attacked or try fighting back again and risk angering the beast further? In the hybrid's brain, the answer was simple while he was in this panicked state of mind. He found himself unable to keep control of himself as he used his uninjured arm to reach forward and aimed another fiery attack at the wolf. Brent did his best to ignore the steady trickle of blood from his wound as it slid across his pale skin, it wouldn't do any good for him to get distracted by that.

Another blast of fire. Lupa knew she couldn't avoid it so she just allowed the area around her shoulder and side take the blow. This time she couldn't stop a small sound, a mix between a growl and a yip, to escape her muzzle. She'd definitely feeling that later. Not now though, now her pain was blocked off by the adrenaline rushing in her veins. However, behind all this, was her logical mind whirring away in her head. She needed to stop. Now. [WIP]
