Hey, my name is... Peter Leon Anthony Hearth
But most call me... Peter
If you want to, you can label me... heterosexual
I've been on this earth for... thirty-six
Which means I was born... 22nd August, 1976
I'm a... college teacher
And only a... law professor
My eyes are... blue
And my hair is... blonde
One could say... I have short, kinda shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes. I'm 6'0" and have a relatively lean build though I am also muscular. Some could also say I'm rather handsome, and, well, I won't object to that. I guess I am rather good looking.
I'm normally seen wearing... suits. I love them. They just make me look gorgeous. If I am feeling casual I'll wear a shirt and trousers. Sometimes with a blazer.. So.. A suit.
And I supposedly look like... Patrick J. Adams
All round, I'm... maybe a little bit of a control freak. With my personal life I'm laid back. I let my daughter have a free reign with her life - well, she is seventeen now. I'll pick her up when she falls down and help her when she asks. It's not that I don't care. I'm just letting her make her own mistakes so she can learn. And anyway, with that girl, if I told her not to do something she would go and do it. And when it comes to work? Well. Everything must be in order. And I mean everything. My office is probably the neatest place you'll ever see. Everything has its place and it [i|will[/i] be in that place. My desk must be exactly parallel to the window. The chairs facing my desk, must be at a- and you probably don't care do you? Okay. I'll stop.
I'm very much a family man. I adore my siblings very much. Though they irritate me to no end it is how we show our love. I'd do anything for Robert and Ava. In fact. I'd do anything for any member of my family. And. Well. If my beautiful baby girl was in trouble? I'd go through hell and back to make sure she was okay again. Nothing is ever too much trouble when it comes to her. I'm very protective over Pandora too. I would also do anything for my wife if she ever came back and asked. I understand that my family may dislike the woman, including our daughter, but I still love her. She is my wife after all.
Some people also say I'm a little bit arrogant. In some ways, yes it is true but I'm not cruel with it. I am clever. Of course I am clever. And with my intelligence comes a need to argue that I'm right. It's why I became a lawyer. Yes. I'm very argumentative. I enjoy it. I will win my arguments all the time. And you'll know that I've won when I say 'lawyered'. All comebacks after this word will be void and I will have won. [/color]
I'm in love with... family, my daughter, my job, art, ice-cream, being right, teaching, suits, baking - I have a suit apron, running, leather-bound books, reading, the opera, helping people, winning
Though I detest... having to wear glasses - I wear contacts 99.9% of the time, violence - I'm a pacifist, losing, anyone who causes harm to my baby girl, jeans - I own one pair and even then Panny bought them for me, cats because they dislike me, being indoors for too long, irritating students, tardiness, people that can't take a joke, being on my own
But my best assets are... that I'm clever, I'm a lawyer so it comes with the job description. I'll go above and beyond to help my family. I know French, Spanish, Italian, German and Latin.
However my worst... I have minor, diagnosed OCD. When it comes to my files at work, everything must be colour coded and alphabeticalized otherwise I will throw a hissy-fit. My office must be neat, and I can tell if anyone has disturbed the tranquility of my office. I also tend to pace. A lot. I can't help it. Just helps me think.
And I dream of... well, I got my dream of being a lawyer, so I guess seeing Panny happy (and hopefully out of prison). [/blockquote]
My life story... I was born on a particular sunny afternoon on the 22nd of August in 1976 to Frank and Evelyn Hearth. I will not lie. My parents were wealthy. And with that wealth came a rather nice lifestyle for me. I got the best education money could buy. My parents got me tutors in everything. I especially liked languages. I ended up learning five different languages including Latin. It seems weird, learning a 'dead' language but it comes in useful when learning law. I think I was destined to become a lawyer. Well. It's what my parents had planned for me. They had law books under my nose by the time I was five.
When I was seven, my mother was pregnant. And a few months after my eighth birthday? We welcomed Robert Jeremy Hearth into the world. My little brother. I loved him, I really did. He was adorable. Of course, not all the time. A screaming baby at 2am? The house may have been large but it wasn't that large. And just when the crying stopped? Ava Helice joined the family. My sister. My beautiful little sister.
Our childhood was fun, however. We all had fun. Of course, I was beginning to focus more on my studies as my siblings grew up but I still spent time around them. I think my parents had plans for Robert to become a doctor and Ava to be a accountant. I'm sure Robert could have become a doctor - if he didn't faint at the sight of blood. And I'm sure Ava could have become an accountant - if she could do maths. Robert was ten, Ava eight when I left my family to go to college. I studied law - just as my parents wanted me to.
I liked university, I also had an apprenticeship at a firm at the same time. Yes. I was that good. And one day they sent me off to the police station. Apparently they wanted me to help out interviewing some people. It would increase my skills. Or, my boss was married to a chief of police and they were swamped. They told me about one woman who had lost her purse and was filing a report. I did not expect to walk in to the room to see Aphrodite. After the report was filed I asked her out for a drink. She accepted. And that was the best night of my life. I was going to call her again but.. I was pretty much overloaded with work and my studies. But I never forgot that beautiful woman. My Aphrodite by the name of Celeste Arcanum.
A few weeks later she was on my doorstep. She told me news that still brings a smile to my face. She was pregnant. With our daughter. Our beautiful, reckless daughter. At once I insisted that she stay with me. And though we hadn't meant for it to happen, we fell in love. And our baby girl was born. Pandora Evelyn. Pandora as the name means all-gifted. Something I knew she would be. Evelyn after my mother. I wed Celeste then. And we lived so happily for fourteen years. I became extremely successful. A criminal lawyer. I adored my job though I was away from my family a bit and that hurt me. But I always came home to my beautiful wife and daughter. And it just seemed perfect. When Pandora was thirteen I found out that Celeste was a witch and my daughter had gained powers too. I was in awe to learn about the supernatural world existed. I was made to take an oath. To swear secrecy. But that was nothing really. I had this perfect life. Really, it had always been magical.
That was until she left. Celeste vanished without word. For weeks I prayed she'd come back. Give me a story and we'd laugh. She'd apologize for not telling me. But weeks turned in to months. Months a year. I threw myself into work whilst Pandora spiralled out of control. I barely heard it when her headteacher told me she was being expelled. Then Ava telling me that Pandora would join her in New York. I worked until I couldn't stay awake. Then I slept. I woke. Ate. Showered and worked again. Only vaguely aware my daughter was being shipped around the country from school to school.
When she was homeschooled, I loved having my daughter home but every time I looked at her I saw Celeste. Even after the golden hair turned white. That her eyes began to be covered by make-up. And what snapped me out of it? The day Pan came home hiding burns. I knew she comitted arson but she had always been careful. And what else did I see on her arm? Scars on her wrist. Instantly I became the father I should have been. My daughter was a witch and I'd heard about a school. A school that would help her. So I sent her away. Away to Northvale Academy.
I got hatred. Oh so much hatred but she left. But two months into her schooling the worst happened. The games. My daughter. My baby girl. She was going into the arena. I moved to Northvale with my siblings. I needed to keep her safe. Somehow. It was at Northvale I also met her boyfriend. Her teacher. He was making Pandora happy and she was seventeen. I couldn't highlight the flaws in the relationship but I wish I had. Because after the games, after he had proposed to my daughter - and I'd given permission - he left her.
Never have I been one for violence but I wanted to kill him. Kill him for breaking my baby girl. So. I've come to teach at Northvale Academy. Law. It's something to do while I work. Teaching a handful of college students. I need to keep an eye on Pandora. I need to make sure she is never hurt like that again.
