A light breeze rustled the trees above us, parting the shade for brief moments to give us a glimpse of blue. It reminded me of those times as a kid when I would take off from home, live by myself in the woods for a week or two just to get a break from being home. And, sure, I'd bet my ass whipped once I finally went back, but those two weeks of peace...those were bliss.

Reaching over, I caught Aaisha's hand in mine and rubbed my thumb over the back of her hand. "You know, you're the first vampire I ever banged. I'd say you've set the bar pretty damn high, Sha-sha." I smirked at her. Plus, the added perk of not having to worry about diseases or knocking her up wasn't half bad.

Not that I didn't want kids eventually. They're cute, okay?

I closed my eyes - probably a bad decision since I was already dozy. But the grass was all soft and Aaisha's hand was cool in mine, and everything was just sort of...perfect. Except for one little detail. "Dammit, I'm hungry," I whined.

Aaisha smiled when Cal reached over and grabbed her hand. She laid back and looked up at the sky while feeling the thumb on her hand. It felt calming almost. She scooted closer to Cal and rested her head on his shoulder. She normally didn't do this kind of thing with casual fucks, but Cal was a bit different. She hadn't had a casual fuck this long before.

She had been the first vampire he had slept with? She wondered why that made her smile just a bit more as she moved her head to look up at him from down on his shoulder. "I'd say you were the first sorcerer I'd ever slept with but there was a period of time I didn't know who I was sleeping with. So I don't know for sure."

When he told her he was hungry, it was almost like a godsend. Still... although Aaisha can eat normal food, it just kind of didn't satisfy her like blood did. See, here's another great example of how amazingly not racist I am! Lying alone and naked in the woods with a vampire and not freaking out even a little when she says that she's hungry. Although, okay, it's a little bit awkward what with me eating people food and her eating people. It made deciding on a venue for a lunch date difficult, to say the least.

I hummed thoughtfully. "You know of any places that serve blood and sandwiches? Does Saturday's do blood? I'm not exactly in the loop on that front." Nor did I ever think I would need to be.

Hey, does taking a girl out for food after sex still count as a date? If so, I'm really glad I decided not to use my shirt to clean up...things. I'm pretty sure jizzy clothes are against even my barbaric date etiquette.

Aaisha was pretty sure that's why she liked Cal so much. Even though he probably had quite a bit of reasons to hate vampires... he was still willing to kill a deer and share the parts of it with one. And even though Aaisha thought that sounded like a pretty amazing deal to her... she wanted to show Cal that she wasn't just a vampire. "I can eat normal food sometimes too... Let's go to Saturdays."

"And for your information... I could kill a deer faster with no weapon than you could with a weapon."[/b] She laughed and smiled at him because it was totally true. She could smell out and kill a deer in probably less than five minutes. Cal would have to stay and wait for the deer to show up somewhere.
