Johnny had gotten a message from Alex to meet him by the barns. He knew that he had to bring a cooler of beer for the fae. Johnny and Kage were sure that the air fae was going to vent out his feelings and whatever stood in its way was going to be in pieces soon enough. He smirked and shook his head as he made his way to the barns. Kage was sleeping peacefully inside him and Johnny didn't want his other self to have to deal with the destructive and dramatic air fae. Though Johnny hated going out, he would if one of his close friends asked him too. Not that he would tell them. No. But he would do so if it meant that he could help them in some way. He sighed and shifted the cooler in his hands. He saw a tree shade and quickly ran to it. He looked around and knew that he was there too early. "That air fae better not be late..." Johnny said as he took out a can of beer and took a swig. The cold beer helped a little.

Alex knew it was stupid but he couldn't seem to shake it. This horrid, ugly feeling that he was becoming somewhat irrelevant was beginning to steadily consume his thoughts. It was a stupid feeling. But even though he knew that it stubbornly grew, feeding on the slightest, insignificant thing like someone not responding to a text after an hour instead of within five minutes. Everyone just seemed so occupied with their own things that Alex... was feeling a bit lost. And like he wasn't really missed anywayd. Like, he could disappear during the night and no one would honestly notice until they needed something or whatever.
Or maybe he just wasn't getting enough action. That too seemed like a reasonable explanation for his gloomy outlook. But anyway, determined o not wallow in his self-pity in the dorm, Alex had decided to do something about it. Like drag someone outside with some beer. Someone like Kage. Or Johnny. Or whoever his friend was today.
Bouncing through the field, literally bouncing so the taller stalks didn't tickle his nose, poke him in the eyes, he headed off to where that barn thing where students sometimes met up for impromptu botellones. He'd agreed to meet his fire fae pal there. Lots of room, see.
"Hey!" Alex chimed once he'd drawn close enough to spot a figure basking in the shade of a tree. Walking over, he dusted off his small vest and pale green shirt sleeves, forcing out a smile that he wasn't really feeling. "S'up, tío."

Johnny had emptied the first can of beer in his hand when the air fae who dragged him out arrived. He raised a brow before grabbing another beer from the cooler. "Your late... And don't smile... You're not in the mood. Don't push it. It's just me." he said as he handed the can of beer to Alex. He viewed the air fae as a little brother Johnny never had the chance to know. He grab a can for himself and proceeded to open it and drink to quench his thirst. Being a fire fae didn't bode well for him at the moment. He didn't like being out in the sun because it made him feel hotter and he'd sweat which would ruin the clothes he was wearing. "So, what's going on in that little head of yours?" Johnny asked as he titled his head to look at Alex.

Alex looked at Kage (or was it Johnny? It was too soon to tell) for a long moment as he handed him a can. Was it that easy to see through his false cheer? But then again, this guy was a good friend of his. He probably picked up on it with just his text asking to meet up like this. The air fae shrugged it off with a sigh and took the beer with a mutter of 'gracias'.
Bending over to idly brush the leaves away, Alex turned and plopped himself down next to his friend heavily. Beer sloshed and fizzed in the full can, splashing out and a few drops spattered his denim jeans yet he made no mind. He wasn't in the mood to be all Alex over his clothes. He licked the bit that dribbled down his hand and gave another shrug. "M'not too sure." He said, bringing the can to his lips and taking a long, thirsting drink. "Everythin's jus' bein' a bit shitty, I guess. What 'bout you?"
Alex stretched out his legs and leaned back against the coarse bark of the tree trunk. He could feel how it scratched the thin material of his vest but he paid it no mind. His index finger pressed and teased the metal tab of the can as he stared at the ratty old barn. What was going through his airy little head? That was actually a very good question. Recently, Alex wasn't even too sure himself. Again, for the third time, Alex sloppily shrugged his shoulders and tipped more ale past his lips. The answer could always just be at the bottom of one of these cans of beer.

Johnny watched as Alex made a mess on himself. Seriously? He placed his hand over the area where the drink spilled and heated his hand a little to slowly dry Alex off. "Honestly, you, Chase, Ethan, and Bree. Need supervision more often. Even Kage. Heaven knows how destructive he'd be if he was with you and Chase without Bree or Pandora watching over you." he said as he took back his hand since Alex was dry again. He sighed and nodded in agreement. Yeah, life had been a bitch to him lately and he didn't know why. "Yup, life has been shitty for us as well. Kage got a bit restless last week and dragged Chase out into town. Aside from that, I haven't see Pan, Ethan, or Bree lately. i haven't seen you lately either." Johnny said as he took a swig of his beer. When it was empty, the can suddenly was covered in blue flames, Johnny's silent angry flames.

Feeling warmth replace the uncomfortable damp on his jeans, Alex snapped out of his daze and looked back at Johnny. There was no doubt that it was Johnny seeing as the guy talked about his other alter ego, Kage. "Yeah, well, we're a bunch of superpowered teens. Shit's meant to get shitty?" Everyone seemed to have their own problems here in Northvale, some which made Alex's seem superficial and selfish. No one would want to hear him whine about not feeling wanted. But it still got him down.
Kage had dragged that stuttering mess of a kid downtown? Alex snorted. That had probably been fun. Haha. Sarcasm. Chase seemed like he'd have a panic attack at the mere thought of talking to a stranger to order a drink. "I've been around... here and there, y'know." Another shrug. It was like he had nothing other to do but drink and shrug, his usually merry vibes muted and dulled. "I don't even know what I've been up to." He gave a weak chuckle and drowned it with a large swig of beer. The past couple of weeks had dragged by in a slow mix of crappy classes, ignored homework, work and then nights when he drank until things became a little foggy.
The fae's attention was brought to the flames that'd erupted out of the blue and now licked Johnny's can. "Woah, dude. What's bitin' yer?" Alex murmured over the mouth of his own drink, watching the flames closely and with mild interest. Pfft. There were times when he sort of wished he'd been born a fire fae. No one messed with a pissed off fire faerie after all.

Johnny didn't turn to look at Alex to answer, "Well, Kage and my life is about to get a little complicated. I got a letter from my uncle, my only relative alive left...." Johnny said as the flames had turned the metal red. He made the flame turn red and the aluminum began to melt. "I think not knowing what we do sometimes is better than knowing what we're actually doing. It makes everything else more better and less complicated."he added. He wasn't making sense. Was he? What was he even talking about? He shook his head and turned to Alex, "You know, sometimes I wish I was just as carefree as you are. Like Ethan too. Well, not really like Ethan since he has a kid on the way." he said as he tilted his head in his own confusion. He was confusing himself and he hated it.

Alex wrinkled his nose and squinted a bit. "That sucks, man..." See? People had bigger and worse problems than he. "They give a reason or... I dunno. They jus' uppin' and leavin' like that?" It made him think for a moment of his own only living relative that he had around here - his dad - but that didn't help his gloomy thoughts. A dad who acted more than a kid than he did at times. Come to think of it, he'd only really seen the guy in class nowadays. Maybe he should, like... meet up with him or something. Or whatever it was thay a good son did.
Alex scooted a couple of inches away from Johnny as the aluminium melted and dripped, not wanting to be burned by the molten metal that glowed from pure heat. Looked like he wasn't the only one with pent-up angst. Ahh. Teenagers. Such angsty little creatures. "Y'wanna burn some shit?" Alex asked simply with the same ease you would ask someone if they'd like a soda.
The small fae chugged the last gulp in his can and tossed it over his shoulder. Wiping his mouth on the back of his sleeve, Alex heaved himself up to his feet and grabbed himself another can. He dusted off the seat of his pants and glanced back at Johnny. "It ain't always good bein' so carefree. Stuff catches up with you eventually." Alex said, digging in his pocket for his carton of smokes. "And the same way you're carefree with people, they are with you. So... yeah. Not always a good thing."

Johnny shook his head, "This one isn't leaving. His coming here. Which is something Kage and I don't want to happen. We don't much about him aside from the fact that he was my dad's younger brother. That guy had barely been seen at home when I was young. My dad kept reminding me to stay away from him less I want a life that doesn't make me feel comfortable and secure." Johnny said as he decided to copy Alex and stand up. "Well, be that as it may, I'd rather have a carefree life and everyone being carefree around me than living the life of being completely alone. Kage and I would probably die alone." he said. Alex's suggestion of burning some shit sounded really good that very moment. "What do you want to burn first?" was all Johnny said as he waited, his flames dancing in his palms, waiting to be thrown at its target.

Oh. His uncle was coming here? Well, that changed things a bit then. Alex could only offer a small, sympathetic smile because he didn't know what he could say to try and cheer him up. "That sucks even more then... m'sorry, dude." Alex sighed, pulling the carton out and slipping one of the filters between his lips. "M'here if you, like, need anythin'. This guy a human? Could help y'kick his ass?"
The fae held the packet out for his friend, offering him a cigarette while he looked for their first target. A few metres away, beside the barn wall, was a threadbare, dieing sofa. He seen a couple of kids making out on that gross thing a few times. Hell, he'd probably even sucked face on that sad excuse of a sofa. "Burn that. Looks like it deserves to die."
His back gently curved in a slouch, Alex flicked open his lighter and birthed a diminute flame with a click. He waited, watching and exhaling a cloud of slate smoke, for Johnny to put an end to the sorry couch's existence. It was like anyone was going to miss it for long, a bit like himself if he was the one disappearing.
